| Feline plague is an acute contact infectious disease caused by feline parvovirus with extremely high mortality. This disease brings huge economic losses to pet owners and breeding farms.Investigating and analyzing the age of onset, season, sex, breed, and vaccination situation of the cats are beneficial to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.Feline plague is characterized by a significant decrease in white blood cells in the whole blood. The prognosis of the disease is directly related to the level of white blood cells in the blood. However,The symptomatic treatment and antiviral treatment are often used in clinical treatment of this disease, and the treatment method of improving hypoleukocytemia is rare. Both Leyk and recombinant granulocyte colony stimulating factor effectively increased leukocyte level. At present, the above two drugs are still in the preliminary stage of exploration in the treatment of cat plague. The purpose of this study is to try to use the two drugs in the treatment of this disease, through the statistical analysis of the results, expecting to obtain more effective treatment for clinical promotion. Methods: This study conduct an epidemiological investigation and analysis of 425 cases of cat pan-leukopenia received by a pet hospital in Changsha, and conduct an in-depth discussion on the relationship between the changes of white blood cell levels and prognosis,On the basis of conventional treatment, recombinant granulocyte colony factor(rh G-CSF)treatment,Leyk treatment, and combination therapy are carried out respectively. The best plan is adopted for case analysis of cat plague. Results: The disease occurr throughout the year, and shows a seasonal epidemic. The onset months are concentrated in April,May,and November each year. The age group of infected cats are mainly under 6 months old(54.12%),and the incidence of adult cats are significantly lower than that of kittens(p<0.05).There is no statistically significant difference in sex(p>0.05).Among the confirmed cases, the cat breeds are mainly Chinese garden cats, which may be related to the number of breeds.when the vaccination is incomplete,The prevalence of cat plague was 20.19%.Cats that have completed the vaccination may still be affected by the disease(9.65%).The clinical symptoms of cats are mainly fever, vomiting and diarrhea. The Cats’ cure rate is 62.26% when their white blood cell level above 1×109/L before treatment, and those with white blood cell levels below 0.5×109/L is only 4.3%.The analysis of the four treatment plans of the conventional group, recombinant granulocyte colony factor group,Leyk group, and combination medication group show that the cure rate of combination group is 92.23%,the cure rate of recombinant granulocyte colony of the factors group is 85.71%,the cure rate of the Leyk group is 65.63%,and the cure rate of the conventional group is 59.57%.Conclusion: The incidence of cat plague is related to age, season, breed, variety, family breeding environment and vaccination, but not related to gender.Fever, vomiting, and diarrhea are the most common symptoms, and the level of white blood cells before treatment is closely related to the prognosis.Leyk and recombinant granulocyte colony factors can effectively improve the reduction of the total number of white blood cells in the peripheral blood of cats. And the combination of the two drugs has a significant effect on the treatment of hypoleukocytemia, which can be combined with conventional treatment as the treatment of cat plague. |
