Research On The Influencing Factors Of Farmers’ Willingness To Participate In Farmland Quality Protection

As the most basic agricultural production material,arable land is the fundamental guarantee for food security and national livelihood.The quality of cultivated land is the fundamental basis for land use decision makers to manage land resources rationally and scientifically,and is the basis for promoting the sustainable development of my country’s population,resources and society.As the direct use and manager of cultivated land,farmers’ production behavior and cognition of relevant information have a profound impact on the quality of cultivated land.Therefore,from the perspective of farmers,this paper studies the influencing factors of farmers’ willingness to participate in cultivated land quality protection,thereby clarifying the effect of different factors on farmers’ participation in cultivated land quality protection,and providing a reference for formulating policies and measures for the quality protection of cultivated land.The specific work is as follows:First,a total of seven villages in five towns in Mengcheng County,Anhui Province were selected for questionnaire survey.350 questionnaires were distributed,of which 318 were valid questionnaires,accounting for 91% of the valid questionnaires.The collected data was then organized and a descriptive analysis of the sample characteristics was carried out.It is assumed that there are only two possibilities for the effect of different survey factors on whether farmers participate in the protection of cultivated land quality,that is,agree or disagree.Therefore,this paper incorporates the investigated data into a binary logistic model for regression statistical analysis.The results show that the education level and agricultural income proportion of farmers in the characteristics variables of farmers have a positive and significant impact on farmers’ participation in the quality protection of cultivated land,and the type of concurrent employment has a negative and significant impact.Quality protection is not significantly affected.Among the variables of farming conditions,the quality of farmland has a significant positive impact on farmers’ participation in farmland quality protection,while the number of plots has a significant negative impact.Among the variables of information cognition,the relevant legal cognition,the cognition of the harm of excessive fertilization,the perception of cultivated land quality degradation,and the promotion of cultivated land quality protection and other factors are positively affecting farmers’ participation in cultivated land quality protection.In addition,according to the research results of the factors affecting the protection of cultivated land quality,and combined with the actual situation of rural areas in Mengcheng County,some suggestions for protecting the quality of cultivated land are put forward: 1.The government should gradually increase the importance of protecting the quality of cultivated land for farmers Education and popularization of relevant modern agricultural technologies,so as to continuously improve their awareness of responsibility for the quality protection of cultivated land and their cultivation level;2.With each township government as a unit,establish a complete power and responsibility mechanism to give full play to the supervision role of the local government;3.The government We should increase the financial investment in the protection of cultivated land quality,and establish a systematic and perfect incentive compensation mechanism,so that farmers can experience the benefits brought by the protection of cultivated land quality,so as to further increase the enthusiasm of farmers to protect the quality of cultivated land.
