As a new type of vocational education teaching textbook advocated by the state,loose-leaf textbooks have the characteristics of modularization,comprehensiveness and flexibility,and have gradually attracted people’s attention recently.Soil and Fertilizer is a compulsory course for students majoring in agronomy and planting in secondary vocational schools.Its current planning textbooks arrange theoretical and practical content together,which is not conducive to the development of students’ practical activities.In addition,planning textbook pursues a complete knowledge structure system.The textbook has a large amount of text and are difficult to read.At the same time,in order to pursue a wide audience,there is also a lack of analysis for students’ learning conditions and local needs.Therefore,this paper studies the compilation of loose-leaf textbook for practical courses of this course,and then explores its influence on students’ practical course learning in teaching application.Guided by national policies,this research uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate and analyze related agricultural and forestry enterprises and teachers and students of Lanzhou Z secondary vocational School.On this basis,with constructivism theory,multiple intelligence theory and pragmatism education theory as the guiding ideology,selects the practical content of the project of "exploring the material composition of soil" in the course of Soil and Fertilizer,and establishes the principle of loose-leaf textbook design,basis and requirements,after many revisions,the practice class loose-leaf textbook’s style was constructed,and two loose-leaf textbook cases,"Soil Texture Determination" and "Soil Moisture Determination" were compiled;then they were applied to the teaching practice in the class 3 of 2019 garden technology,and the application effect of the textbook was evaluated with the students and teachers as the main body,and the feedback information on the textbook was collected.The results show that this practical course loose-leaf textbook has a positive impact on students’ interest in learning and learning effect,which is conducive to the cultivation of skilled talents.Teachers also gave positive evaluation to this loose-leaf textbook.Finally,this study summarizes the matters needing attention in the compilation of loose-leaf textbook,and puts forward corresponding application suggestions.In terms of writing: 1)It is necessary to fully understand the needs of industrial development and enterprise employment;2)It is necessary to update and supplement the content of teaching materials in time;3)The content of each module should be independent and intersecting.In terms of application: 1)It is necessary to combine the characteristics of this course;2)Appropriate teaching methods should be used,and attention should be paid to the splitting and reorganization of different modules;3)Emotional encouragement should be given to students during the teaching process.This research is a preliminary attempt to develop and apply loose-leaf textbooks in the practical course of Soil and Fertilizer for agronomy majors.
