Agricultural carbon emissions have nearly doubled in the past 50 years, accounting for about 20% of global carbon emissions.Reducing agricultural carbon emissions has become a practical problem to be solved urgently. As a new type of governance mechanism, the international multilateral cooperation mechanism is playing an increasingly important role in international carbon emission governance. From the perspective of international multilateral cooperation mechanism, based on the sample data from 2001 to 2016,this paper statistically analyzes the changes of agriculture carbon emissions from G20,APEC and BRICS,and uses the LMDI decomposition model to quantitatively analyze the factors that affect the changes in agricultural carbon emissions and their contribution rates. Then through the Tapio decoupling model, the effectiveness of the decoupling of agricultural carbon emissions in each economy is clarified. The research concludes: First,in the G20,APEC and BRICS,the economic scale effect is the most important factor to increase agricultural carbon emissions, and the carbon emission intensity effect is the most important factor to restrain agricultural carbon emissions. The top five in G20 are China,India,Brazil,Australia and Indonesia in the contribution rate of carbon emission intensity effect. The top five in APEC are China,Australia,Indonesia, the United States and the Russian Federation; The BRICS are ranked by China,India,Brazil, the Russian Federation and South Africa.Second,in terms of the decoupling effect of agricultural carbon emissions, under the G20 perspective,China,Russia,India,Indonesia and Brazil performed better, while Turkey,Italy, the United States,South Africa and France performed poorly.Under the APEC perspective,China,Vietnam,Russia,Thailand and Indonesia performed relatively well, while Singapore, the United States,Japan,New Zealand and Canada performed poorly.Under the BRICS perspective,China,Russia,India and Brazil performed relatively well, while South Africa performed poorly.Based on the perspective of the international multilateral cooperation mechanism, researching on the core issue of agricultural carbon emissions will help each economy to grasp its own position in international comparison, and more effectively use the platform of the international multilateral cooperation mechanism to communicate, learn and cooperate,so as to promote the process of international agricultural carbon emission reduction.
