Study On The Development Of Broiler Industry In Guangdong Province

The broiler industry is a very important part of animal husbandry.Guangdong Province is a big province for broiler breeding and consumption.With the further implementation of the Rural Revitalization Strategy and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Great Bay strategy,the income level of residents in Guangdong Province will develop to a higher level,and the food structure of urban and rural residents will further improve with the increase of income level,The demand for high-quality and healthy agricultural products such as chicken will be further increased.Since the reform and opening up,the broiler industry in Guangdong Province has developed rapidly,and the output has increased year by year.This paper analyzes the broiler industry in Guangdong Province from three aspects:production,processing and consumption by using the methods of literature analysis,field investigation and quantitative and qualitative analysis.The study found that,on the whole,the broiler industry in Guangdong Province developed rapidly,showing the coexistence of multiple business models;The broiler industry in Guangdong Province has high production cost and low production efficiency,and the industrial development needs transformation and upgrading urgently;The quality level of large-scale broilers is significantly higher than that of small-scale broilers.In terms of production status,the scale of breeding chickens in Guangdong Province is stabilizing,the strength of seed industry is prominent,the production level of broilers is steadily improving,the breeding pattern is further concentrated,and the production and management modes are diverse;In the current situation of processing,the broiler processing industry is developing rapidly,and the number of processing enterprises is large and widely distributed;In terms of consumption status,the per capita consumption level of chicken in Guangdong Province continued to grow,and the consumption difference between urban and rural residents expanded.With the rapid development of broiler industry in Guangdong Province,it is also faced with problems such as difficulties in white feather broiler breeding,rising production costs,low production efficiency,animal diseases and product quality and safety,low level of deep processing,large price fluctuation and so on.Finally,this paper analyzes the reasons for the development of broiler industry in Guangdong Province,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of broiler industry in Guangdong Province from the perspective of production,processing and consumption.In terms of production,it is suggested to deeply carry out breeding work and establish and improve breeding system;Develop green ecological breeding and promote broiler breeding to improve quality and efficiency;Strengthen the biosafety measures of broilers,and establish and improve the epidemic prevention and control system.In terms of processing,it is suggested to adjust the breeding structure and optimize the industrial layout;Develop the deep processing technology of Broilers and promote the development of the whole industrial chain of broilers.In terms of consumption,it is suggested to establish an early warning mechanism for broiler supply and demand to ensure the sound development of broiler industry,which can provide effective suggestions for government departments for the healthy development of broiler industry in Guangdong Province.
