| Jiangsu Province is a traditional sericulture production province and the most high-quality silkworm cocoon production and supply base in my country.It has a good advantage in the cocoon silk industry chain.The sericulture production areas in Jiangsu Province are relatively concentrated and have obvious advantages in scale,forming major sericulture production areas such as Yancheng,Nantong and Xuzhou.With the rapid development of industrialization,information economy,and infrastructure construction,Jiangsu Province is also facing challenges such as the continuous reduction of mulberry fields,the older age of sericulture farmers,and the rising labor costs and land costs.Investigating and studying the changes,status quo and scale of sericulture production in Jiangsu Province will play an important role in promoting the scale of sericulture production,improving the efficiency of sericulture production,and realizing the high-quality development of sericulture production.The thesis focuses on the investigation and analysis of the changes,status quo and scale of sericulture production in Jiangsu Province.First,the research background,research methods,research framework are described,and the research results related to the scale of sericulture are reviewed.Secondly,the focus is on the area of mulberry orchards in the province,the amount of seeds produced,the amount of silkworm seeds raised per mu of mulberry,the annual cocoon production,the amount of cocoons produced per mu of mulberry orchards,the amount of cocoons produced by each species,the price of silkworm cocoons,the output value of silkworm cocoons,the number of silkworm farmers Changes in the scale of sericulture per household and income of sericulture per household have analyzed the changes in sericulture production in Jiangsu Province from 1984 to 2020;compared the sericulture efficiency of key sericulture areas in Jiangsu Province and Japan,and measured the sericulture households as a unit The minimum scale of sericulture;further applied the PESTEL model to analyze the factors affecting the scale of sericulture production.On the basis of investigating the status quo of the large-scale practice of sericulture production bases in Jiangsu Province,the benefits of different scales of sericulture bases were analyzed,and the following main results were obtained.(1)The area of mulberry orchards in Jiangsu Province is declining year by year.The output value of silkworm farmers and silkworm cocoons continues to decline,and the scale of production shrinks severely;(2)The number of silkworm seeds raised per mu of mulberry,the cocoon production per mu,and the yield of seedlings are relatively large.(3)The focus of sericulture area is obvious,but it is mainly produced in traditional mode.The scale of sericulture production per household is small,and the growth rate of sericulture income is generally lower than the growth of GDP and the disposable income of residents.(4)On a household basis,the minimum scale of short-term sericulture operations in Nantong City,Jiangsu Province reached 6.27 mu,and the long-term is 41.61 mu;(5)Political,economic,social,technological,environmental and legal factors are conducive to sericulture.Large-scale production practice.The main sericulture districts of Jiangsu Province have carried out large-scale sericulture production practices,and key sericulture areas have established large-scale sericulture bases in the form of "leading enterprises(companies)+sericulture households" or "large sericulture households" as the main body "In a large-scale sericulture base,the average income of silkworm cocoons per household in the base is higher than that of local non-base silkworm households.(6)When the area of mulberry orchard(scale of sericulture production)of the operator exceeds a certain threshold,the marginal benefit decreases.The area of the mulberry orchard of the operator is between 50-460 mu,and the scale benefit of sericulture has increased significantly.Based on the rough estimation of regression analysis,The area of large-scale sericulture base is controlled between 750-1300 mu.(1 mu≈0.0667 hectares)Based on the above research results,this article believes that large-scale sericulture production is the direction of development,and the government needs to introduce large-scale sericulture production policies to guide the transfer of mulberry gardens to large sericulture farmers,sericulture farms and sericulture bases,and support large-scale sericulture production;rationally improve silkworm cocoons Prices,to prevent drastic fluctuations in cocoon prices,and to guard against market risks.Expand the scale of mulberry farms with sericulture households,so that the short-term sericulture business income of sericulture is not lower than the disposable income of rural residents,and the long-term income is not lower than the disposable income of urban residents.According to local conditions,the scale of the sericulture base should be appropriately expanded.The size of a single base is not recommended to be less than 500 acres,but the area of the mulberry orchard of the base must be controlled between 750-1300 acres;continue to strengthen the research on practical technologies related to large-scale sericulture production to improve the sericulture industry The degree of mechanization and intensiveness will reduce the labor intensity of sericulture,increase the number of mulberry groves per capita and the number of silkworm breeding,and realize the transformation of sericulture from extensive to intensive;improve the comprehensive utilization of silkworms,mulberry and mulberry groves,and realize
