The country attaches great importance to secondary vocational education.The report of the Party’s 20 th National Congress proposes to implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and strengthen the talent support for modernization,which requires further improving students’ practical ability.Students majoring in urban rail transit vehicle overhaul in secondary vocational schools generally have some problems,such as lack of interest in learning,low participation in class and weak practical operation ability.Different from the traditional teaching method in which teachers fill the classroom and students learn passively,project-based teaching method conforms to the needs of the development of modern society,regards students as the subject of teaching activities,cultivates students’ practical skills and fully arouses students’ enthusiasm for learning by designing projects that fit in with their posts.This study chooses to apply project-based teaching method to the teaching of "Urban Rail Transit Vehicle Construction" in secondary vocational schools,aiming at improving the existing teaching problems of this course and improving students’ practical operation ability.In this study,constructivism learning theory,multiple intelligences theory and pragmatic teaching theory were used as the theoretical basis to investigate the teaching status of "Urban rail transit Vehicle Construction" in secondary vocational schools by means of questionnaire and interview.The survey objects included students of Grade 21 urban rail transit vehicle maintenance major,teachers and enterprise experts participating in school-enterprise cooperation in S secondary vocational School of Zhejiang Province.Then,according to the existing teaching problems,combined with the characteristics of "Urban rail transit vehicle structure",the overall teaching design of the course is carried out.Then,two classes were selected for teaching experiment and effect analysis,and the implementation of the project of "Exploring door structure and fault handling" was elaborated.The teaching effect was analyzed and teaching practice was reflected through the results of final test,questionnaire survey and interview.Finally,the research conclusion is drawn.Based on the current situation of curriculum teaching,this study designs teaching projects and specific implementation steps suitable for secondary vocational students,and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of project teaching method.The application of project teaching method in the teaching of the Construction of Urban Rail Transit Vehicles is feasible.Project teaching method is beneficial to cultivate students’ ability in all aspects,improve the teaching ability of secondary vocational teachers and enrich the teaching resources of curriculum projects.In view of the problems existing in the implementation process of project teaching,this study puts forward optimization suggestions: reasonable arrangement of project activity time,reasonable construction of team members structure,reasonable control of classroom teaching discipline,in order to give play to the advantages of project teaching and make up for the deficiencies of teaching.
