In the context of the new era,cultural creativity and Chinese traditional crafts show diversified development trends,playing a key role in enhancing the competitiveness of the industry and building a cultural heritage route.As people’s awareness of spiritual needs and traditional culture continues to rise,the development of cultural and creative products is being strongly promoted.Dunhuang culture has a thousand-year history and is a precious art resource in China,and related cultural and creative products have achieved certain results in combining different materials,technologies and techniques.As a traditional craft,lacquer can provide new ideas for Dunhuang cultural and creative products in terms of material characteristics and craft techniques.The combination of the two is centered on cultural needs,meeting the needs of audiences at the spiritual level and making products with practical and aesthetic values.The combination of traditional lacquer art and Dunhuang cultural and creative products is not widely available in the current market,and there are problems of single product design,low recognition,and lack of creativity.The following three parts of the study are conducted:The first part classifies Dunhuang cave art,Dunhuang painted sculptures,Dunhuang historical relics,and natural landscapes,and selects the familiar and influential Mogao Caves culture as the entry point for the study.In the second part,we interpret the characteristics of traditional lacquer art from a microscopic perspective,such as painting,corrosion resistance,high temperature resistance,and adhesion,as well as its visual experience,material use,and cultural values,and analyze its practical and additional application values in contemporary life.The third part extracts the design elements of traditional lacquer art in Dunhuang cultural and creative products through data analysis of research questionnaire and Likert scale method.The SWOT analysis is used to understand the strengths and weaknesses of Dunhuang’s cultural and creative products in the current market,establish the AIO model of the target users,study the changes in user demand for Dunhuang’s cultural and creative products,integrate the overall situation,and find the fit between traditional lacquer art and Dunhuang’s cultural and creative products.Through the above research,traditional lacquer art can be combined with Dunhuang cultural symbols to establish connections in content,color and pattern,and build its inner connection with spirit,culture,value and emotion,and finally,cultural export to the audience through the outreach and connotation design of the product,so as to realize the inheritance and innovation of lacquer art in Dunhuang cultural and creative product design.
