Under the process of rural transformation and rapid urbanization in China, how traditional villages should develop and how historical context should be inherited has become a hot topic of discussion in the current academic community.Rural landscape,as an important component of the living environment,is not only the appearance of the village, but also a reflection of the unique culture and incense inheritance of the village. This article takes the perspective of rural landscape memory changes, and based on the collective memory theory, studies the dynamic trajectory of rural landscape memory, examining the protection and renewal of villages. The collective memory of villagers can reflect the spatial layout, historical changes, site selection conditions, industrial changes, and local cultural inheritance of the village. The dynamic changes in the collective memory of villagers can precisely reflect the cultural and inheritance needs of the village in the development process. This article takes the traditional village Leju Village as the research object, and through the study of collective memory theory and the changes in rural landscape characteristics from the perspective of collective memory, preliminarily explores the protection and renewal of villages based on collective memory.Adopt Field research, questionnaire interview and other methods were used to investigate and analyze the rural landscape characteristics of the traditional village Leju Village, and the villagers were asked to draw cognitive maps to collect the spatial memory of the village. Then the collected memory characteristics were different, and the memory was divided into three categories: architectural elements, spatial elements and cultural elements.According to the memory and distribution characteristics of memory elements in different age groups,It can intuitively see the importance and inheritance status of each memory element in the minds of different age groups. Finally, based on the three dimensions of memory collection, historical value, and existing status, the evaluation indicators of the dimensions to which village landscape elements and features should belong are analyzed, and a three-dimensional evaluation system of collective memory elements is constructed.Memory elements are classified and sorted out,and collective memory elements that are of great significance for the protection and inheritance of village culture are selected.Based on this, suggestions are made for the future development of the village.Through research,it has been found that the collective memory characteristics of typical villages are:(1)In terms of memory groups, the collective memory of Leju Village varies according to age.The memory of the older generation is mainly concentrated in places with historical and cultural attributes such as ancient buildings, temples, wells, and ancestral temples,as well as places closely related to life such as rivers and agricultural sites, while the younger generation is concentrated in central activity squares, leisure, and other aspects.(2)In terms of architectural elements, villagers’ memories mainly focus on buildings with cultural characteristics and in line with the local traditional village style; In terms of street and alleyway space, the memory points of villagers mainly focus on public spaces and main roads with a wide field of vision and a certain historical atmosphere; In terms of cultural venues, the memory points of villagers mainly focus on single sacrificial buildings.(3)In terms of the evolution of memory elements, the natural environment, architectural environment, and customs and culture jointly influence the generation of memory elements. At the same time, the quantity and degree of collective memory are also inseparable from the inheritance of culture. The increase in new memory elements such as leisure and entertainment venues reflects the increasing spiritual and material needs of villagers. The disappearance of existing memory elements and the frequent appearance of memory elements suggest that we should pay more attention to protecting those elements with a sense of life while valuing the protection of historical value elements. We should also pay attention to the care of nostalgic emotions while valuing history and protection.Based on the analysis of the collective memory of Leju Village in Xishan District, planning suggestions are made for the future development of the collective memory elements of Leju Village from four dimensions: active protection, full activation, maintenance, renovation and reconstruction.Four memory construction methods for Leju Village are summarized: memory reappearance, situational arousal, historical association, symbolic integration, and applied to the practice of rural landscape protection and renewal design in traditional villages of Leju Village.Through the exploration and planning practice of the collective memory of traditional villages in Leju Village,it is hoped to showcase the unique style and cultural inheritance of local traditional villages,in order to provide a reference for the continuation and protection of similar rural landscape culture. |
