| The aging population is an irreversible trend in social development.Qingdao has entered the aging society stage, especially in the traditional historical and cultural blocks.Qingdao historical and cultural blocks have some problems, such as aging of material space, lagging function and insufficient adaptability to aging, which makes the public space of Qingdao historical and cultural blocks urgently need to be updated to adapt to aging. Therefore,it is necessary to study the renewal and transformation of public space in Qingdao historical and cultural blocks from the perspective of the elderly. The premise of "being fit for the old" is to "know the old".By analyzing the activity characteristics of the elderly,it is found that the daily activities of the elderly in Qingdao’s historical and cultural blocks and public space have obvious mutual relationship.Due to different physical conditions and living conditions, their daily life and space needs show obvious differences. From the perspective of the elderly’s assessment of the current situation, the lack of land for public space in Qingdao’s historical and cultural blocks, the chaos of traffic organization, the disorder of space environment, the inadequate allocation of facilities, and the lack of full consideration of the elderly in functional combination and organizational management have led to the low overall perception and evaluation of the public space in the historical and cultural blocks. Therefore, based on the current situation of Qingdao’s historical and cultural blocks, this paper proposes the strategy of updating public space to adapt to aging.First of all, based on the characteristics of the public space of Qingdao’s historical and cultural blocks, the paper summarizes and analyzes the basis, development goals and principles of aging renewal;Secondly,in terms of specific strategies,we should optimize the traffic organization and integrate diverse and shared activity spaces. At the same time,we should achieve compact and mixed layout of functional facilities and perfect and optimize auxiliary facilities according to the terrain conditions of the block and the behavior and activity characteristics of the elderly. Finally,we should strengthen diversified cooperation and scientific management to ensure the steady progress of the renewal project. In general, the proposal of the strategy of aging adaptation is to make precise measures for the characteristics that are not suitable for the use of the elderly on the basis of facing up to the practical problems of public space in Qingdao’s historical and cultural districts.Taking Wudi Road historical and cultural block as an example, the renewal practice is carried out in order to provide some theoretical and practical reference for the aging renewal of public space in Qingdao historical and cultural block. |
