Research On The Public Space Design Strategy Of The Old Community From The Perspective Of Daily Life

As China’s urbanization moves from "extension expansion" to "connotation tapping" in the "new normal" stage,old and old residential areas,as an important component of urban inventory space and an important carrier for carrying residents’ lives,have become an important part of the overall context of urban renewal.In recent years,while the renovation of old residential areas has achieved fruitful results in practical practice,there have also been negative tendencies such as windowing and superficialization of space;At the micro level,the overall research on the renovation of old residential areas from the perspective of daily life from the "bottom up" perspective is relatively lacking.In view of this,this article takes daily life as the starting point and entry point for the study of public space in old residential areas.Through research and analysis of relevant theories and combined with research on residents’ lives and spatial environment,it understands the real needs of residents for the residential environment in daily life,and proposes corresponding design strategies for public space transformation from the perspective of daily life.In order to better achieve the matching and integration of the public space environment in old residential areas and the daily lives of residents,and to provide a beneficial supplement to the further deepening of the public space transformation in old residential areas.The thesis mainly includes four parts of research content: 1.Firstly,it introduces the origin,purpose,and significance of the research,combs the practical process of residential renewal and transformation in China and major western developed countries since modern times,as well as the relevant research on residential renewal by domestic and foreign scholars;2.Introduce the relevant research on daily life in the fields of philosophy,sociology,and other fields since modern times,summarize and analyze the research on the combination of daily life and space,clarify its value significance and application methods in space research,and grasp the evolution and characteristics of daily life as well as the evolution of contemporary daily lifestyle based on this,and analyze the main elements,event elements Analyze the spatial elements to explore the internal relationship between daily life and space;3.Conduct field research and understanding on the physical and daily use status of public space in selected representative old residential areas from the physical space dimension,daily life dimension,and resident subject dimension,discover and summarize the basic characteristics of the empty status quo of the sample residential areas and the basic laws of residents’ activities,and conduct questionnaire survey and participatory experience results on resident subjects,Summarize the material problems and shortcomings of public space from the perspective of daily life;4.Based on the common problems existing in the public space of the old community,the actual daily life of residents,and the development concept of the new era,this paper proposes the starting point and corresponding design strategies for the renovation design of the public space of the old community from the perspective of daily life.Finally,an empirical test of the proposed design strategies and methods is conducted using the practical project of the Fushan Campus Family Community of China Ocean University as an example.
