| Studying the coupled and coordinated relationship between the digitalization level and urbanization level in Zhejiang Province is beneficial for providing empirical data and theoretical basis to enhance the coupling and coordination between urban digitalization and urbanization levels in the province.It also aims to offer policy recommendations for the coordinated development of digitalization and urbanization in various prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang Province.This paper focuses on the period from 2010 to 2020,using data from 11 prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang Province as the research sample.Firstly,the entropy method is applied to measure the digitalization level and urbanization level in each prefecture-level city in Zhejiang Province.Secondly,a comprehensive analysis is conducted on the measurement indices of the digitalization level and urbanization level in each prefecture-level city.The study then places emphasis on analyzing the coupling degree and coupling coordination of the digitalization level and urbanization level in Zhejiang Province’s prefecture-level cities.Furthermore,the factors influencing the coupling coordination between the digitalization level and urbanization level in each prefecture-level city are further analyzed.Lastly,based on the analysis results,policy recommendations are proposed for the coupled and coordinated development of the digitalization level and urbanization level in Zhejiang Province’s prefecture-level cities.The main conclusions of the research are as follows:(1)During the period of 2010-2020,the digitalization and urbanization levels of various prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang Province showed an overall upward trend.However,there were significant differences in the levels and development of urbanization among these cities.(2)During the period from 2010 to 2020,there was a trend of transition from low-level coupling coordination to high-level coupling coordination between the digitalization and urbanization levels in various prefecture-level cities in Zhejiang Province.Hangzhou transitioned from the stage of initial coordination development to the stage of good coordination development,but did not reach the stage of excellent coordination development.Ningbo transitioned from the stage of barely coordinated development to the stage of initial coordination development.Wenzhou transitioned from the stage of imminent imbalance development to the stage of barely coordinated development.Shaoxing transitioned from the stage of mild imbalance to the stage of barely coordinated.Jiaxing and Huzhou transitioned from the stage of mild decline to the stage of imminent imbalance.Zhoushan transitioned from the stage of mild decline to the stage of imminent imbalance.Quzhou transitioned from the stage of moderate imbalance decline to the stage of mild decline.The coupling coordination of Taizhou,Jinhua,and Lishui remained unchanged,with Lishui in a state of mild decline,Taizhou and Jinhua in a stage of imminent imbalance development.(3)The influencing factors on the coupling coordination of urban digitalization and urbanization levels can be analyzed from direct effects.In terms of direct effects,the level of urban technological innovation,foreign investment,marketization,and government support all have a significant positive impact on the coupling coordination of urban digitalization and urbanization levels.In terms of spillover effects,government support and marketization both have significant positive spatial spillover effects,while the level of urban technological innovation has a significant negative spatial spillover effect.Overall,the level of urban technological innovation,government support,foreign investment,and marketization all have a positive impact on the coupling coordination of urban digitalization and urbanization levels through direct or indirect effects. |
