| As an important type of 20 th century heritage, the lack of adequate attention and proper maintenance management in the context of urban renewal has created a strong conflict between heritage conservation and park renovation. As a heritage conservation management tool, heritage impact assessment has played an important role in the field of heritage conservation, however, the assessment is mostly carried out for new projects, and the affected objects are mostly the heritage itself and its surroundings, and the value assessment is usually based on the historical, artistic, scientific and other thematic outlines of the heritage itself. This has led to the gradual decay of heritage in the midst of continuous development and changes, and the heritage value faces a crisis of inheritance. This paper starts with an analysis of the different points of relevant assessment, introduces a cumulative impact assessment analysis method in response to the layered nature of historical parks, reconceptualises their rich heritage values, establishes a heritage impact assessment system applicable to historical parks, balances the relationship between old and new projects, and achieves a balance between heritage conservation and urban development.Firstly,to clarify the different points of relevant impact assessment, and accordingly put forward the assessment concept, objectives and principles of this paper,to establish a set of cumulative heritage impact assessment index system and mechanism methods that are in line with the difficulties of heritage impact assessment, and to further divide them into three assessment dimensions: heritage ontology impact assessment, heritage environment impact assessment and social public impact assessment.Secondly, the entire Xi’an Xingqinggong Park from its foundation to the present is analysed in three dimensions: initial curtain view, past curtain view and current curtain view, and three scales: city park, park and garden view,to summarise its values and classify the importance of its value carriers. This is followed by a typical case study of the Xingqinggong Park enhancement project, using the proposed cumulative impact assessment index system to demonstrate its feasibility on the one hand, and to analyse its potential impacts on the other. Finally,a summary of the existing problems in the conservation and regeneration of Xingqinggong Park is presented, with a view to proposing further optimisation strategies in terms of the conservation of spatial elements in a graded manner, the maintenance of a mixed garden style and the continuation of cultural and landscape facilities. |
