With the increasing application of reinforced earth retaining wall in engineering, reinforced materials have become the focus of many scholars at present. However, geotextile is relatively less used in reinforced earth retaining wall engineering. In order to enhance the application scope of geotextile in the reinforced earth retaining wall project, this thesis studies the change of wall performance when geotextile with different number of return-wrapped rib is applied to the reinforced earth retaining wall by improving the structural form of geotextile, that is,stitching the return-wrapped ribs on the reinforcement material, and using the combination of model test and numerical simulation,So it can provide some reference for the popularization and application of geotextiles. The specific research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The model test of reinforced earth retaining wall under static load was carried out by using the self-made model box.By setting four working conditions: geotextile flat back-pack,geotextile by sewing one return-wrapped rib, geotextile by sewing two return-wrapped ribs, and geogrid flat back-pack,the changes in parameters such as the wall top settlement, metope horizontal displacement, horizontal soil pressure, vertical soil pressure, and reinforcement strain of reinforced earth retaining walls under six static loads of 10,20,30,40,50,and 60 k Pa are studied. The test results show that the effect of geogrid flat paving and back wrapping reinforcement is better than that of geotextile flat paving and back wrapping reinforcement. After setting the returnwrapped rib,the parameters in the wall will decrease with the increase of the number of return-wrapped ribs, the geotextile reinforcement best effect is stitching two returnwrapped ribs. The role of return-wrapped rib at the upper part of the retaining wall is more obvious than that at the lower part of the retaining wall. Therefore, considering the amount of reinforcement and the complexity of construction, the return-wrapped rib should be set for the back wrap reinforcement of the geotextile at the upper part of the retaining wall, while the lower part of the retaining wall does not need to be set, which is conducive to the overall stability of the retaining wall.(2)The PLAXIS finite element software is used to carry out the numerical simulation research under the static load under the two conditions of geotextile flat back-pack,geotextile by sewing one return-wrapped rib.The influence of returnwrapped rib on the top settlement of the retaining wall, the vertical earth pressure in the wall and other parameters is analyzed. The numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the measured data.On this basis, the return-wrapped rib’s influence of the number, length, direction and other factors of the retaining wall performance is studied.Reducing the number of return-wrapped ribs at the bottom of the retaining wall and changing the direction of the return-wrapped ribs have a smaller impact on parameters such as wall top settlement and vertical soil pressure inside the wall, while changing the length of the return-wrapped ribs has a greater impact on parameters such as wall top settlement and vertical soil pressure inside the wall.(3)The numerical simulation research of geotextile reinforced earth retaining wall under dynamic load conditions is carried out by using PLAXIS finite element software, and the variation rules of the parameters of geotextile reinforced earth retaining wall such as the settlement value of the wall top,the peak value of vertical velocity and the peak value of vertical acceleration are analyzed under different working conditions, different dynamic load frequencies and different dynamic load amplitudes.Among them, the settlement value of the wall top is greatly affected by different working condition models and different dynamic load amplitude conditions, and the vertical velocity peak and vertical acceleration peak are greatly affected by different working condition models and different dynamic load frequency conditions.
