In recent years, with the rapid development of high-speed railway in Southwest, high reinforced earth retaining wall with increasingly strong demand,and its design has become an important topic in the field. Although the application and research of reinforced earth retaining wall in railway in a long time, Although the application of reinforced earth retaining wall in railway and research in a long time, but previous research and application of railway reinforced earth retaining walls are mostly height of less than 6-10m and height is less than 12-16 multilevel reinforced earth retaining wall. Meanwhile, few studies of the multilevel stepped reinforced earth retaining wall did not fully take into account railway loading characteristics(compared to road load, which is larger, more focused, periodic strong). Therefore, the research and applications of these have failed to meet China’s railway development and requirements of reinforced earth retaining wall height increases.Based on new Chengdu-Kunming railway DK482+020-DK483+900 part of a slope of multilevel reinforced earth retaining wall considering railway repeated load, conducted a similar study with Large-scale test model, the main contents are:Reviews the history of the development of reinforced soil; It described its reinforcing mechanism and design theory; analyzes the structure of its common forms and failure mode through data collection and field research in Chongqing; Large-scale model test carried out to detect the top of the wall settlement, lateral displacement and reinforcement stress; analyzes the top wall of settlement and lateral deflection of retaining wall, grille reinforcement strain and Ⅰ,Ⅱ potential failure surface of the retaining wall forms; Presented under repeated loading fatigue characteristics of reinforcement;Using the finite element method of numerical simulation to research the actual project,and analysis of the settlement, lateral deformation and reinforcement of the mechanical characteristics; Analysis of optimization of reinforced earth retaining wall in the matters needing attention in the design process, design optimization for advice.This research is aimed at providing a new DK482+020-DK483+900 section of Chengdu-Kunming railway side slope design of multilevel reinforced earth retaining references and provided for the research design of the reinforced earth retaining wall along the same time for other study on stepped reinforced soil retaining wall design provides references.
