With characters of beautiful shape, convenient construction, good adaptation as well as environmental protection, Geogrids-reinforced earth retaining wall offers an effective way to the design of high-speed railway embankment. As the deformation control becomes the key to the design of high-speed railway embankment, whether the deformation of the geogrids-reinforced earth retaining wall under loading can satisfy the requirements of high-speed railway operations is particularly important. In this paper, first of all, it will retrospect and summarize the current situation and engineering application on reinforced earth retaining wall,then by means of theoretical analysis, laboratory test and numerical simulation, it will come to a research on geogrid reinforced soil retaining wall structure behavior under static and dynamic load. The main contents list as follows:(1)Make sure of the geometric similarity ratio of the reinforced earth retaining wall model and compute other corresponding similar parameters according to the basic theory of the similarity theory and its deduction method.(2)Do a research on the static characters of the Geogrids-reinforced earth retaining wall by the model test, then conclude the retaining wall’s basal vertical earth pressure distribution law in the process of filling, the condition of the deformation during standing, the mechanism of the deformation under the action of static load,the law of development of the different parts of the earth pressure and the law of reinforcement material deformation.(3)Do a research on the dynamic characteristics of geogrids-reinforced earth retaining wall under different train axle load and speed, then conclude the law of acceleration, dynamic of earth pressure, vertical and horizontal accumulated deformation, residual soil pressure and the accumulated tensile strain of reinforcement by the model test.(4)Based on the model test, simulate and evaluate the static and dynamic characteristics of geogrids-reinforced earth retaining wall using finite element calculation software and make a further discussion about the different reinforcement material stiffness’ s impact on the deformation of the retaining wall by means of the numerical analysis to change the parameters of the internal.(5)Finally, make summary of the whole paper, point out the shortcomings as well as the content and direction that need to study in the future.
