| In recent years,several tombs of the Sogde people have been excavated in the western and northern regions of China.The colorful mural images on the burial utensils provide valuable materials for our study of cultural exchanges and ethnic integration in the Northern Dynasties,Sui and Tang dynasties.This article takes the archaeological discoveries of the Sogdians who entered China as the background,and based on literature materials,takes architectural images with rich connotations as the main research object.Using a combination of image reading and detail comparison,the study explores the architectural images and aesthetic concepts contained in the tombs of the Sogdians who entered China.This article is mainly composed of four parts.The first part combs the archaeological discoveries of architectural sites in the native area of Sote,traces the context and causes of the emergence of architectural cultural foundations and architectural aesthetic ideas before the Sote people entered China,and lays the foundation for later research on architectural aesthetics.The second part arranges and interprets in detail the architectural and furniture images in the tombs of Sogde people entering China.Firstly,according to the order of the dynasties,it describes and interprets the architectural images seen in the tombs of Sogde people entering China during the Northern Qi,Northern Zhou,Sui,and Tang dynasties one by one.Then interpreting the different architectural forms.Finally,the interpretation of the furniture styles in the tomb images shows that foreign furniture styles and usage methods have had an impact on the concept of etiquette and customs in the Central Plains,and the changes in concepts are closely related to the development of furniture styles.The third part studies the formal beauty of Sogdian architecture in China.The aesthetic research is conducted from two aspects of architectural modeling and decoration.Firstly,the aesthetic exploration of architectural modeling is conducted from the four formal aesthetic principles of architecture: symmetry,rhythm,proportion,and color.Secondly,from the perspective of architectural decoration with distinctive ethnic characteristics,both modeling and decoration have to some extent imitated and integrated the architecture of the Central Plains.The fourth part studies the ritual symbols and implicative spaces of Sogdian architecture in China.Firstly,from the perspective of practical value and ritual symbols,we will deeply explore the manifestation of ritual based on architectural practicality.Next,I will write about four architectural related scenes: banquets,music and dance,hunting,and judgment.To a large extent,the Sote people who entered China inherited the native architectural style of Sote,and after entering China,presented the aesthetic process of sinicization and integration,thus forming a unique architectural aesthetic style under the integration of Hu and Han.Architecture,as an indispensable artistic form in the development of human history and aesthetic expression,provides vivid and intuitive materials for us to explore historical facts.Architecture is a major theme in the tomb images of the Sogdians entering China,which has a certain impact on the cultural customs of the Central Plains region and various countries in the Western Regions.This article provides evidence at the architectural level by interpreting the architectural images appearing in the tombs of the Sogdians who entered China,as well as the changes and developments that occurred during the integration of the Hu and Han ethnic groups.It aims to further understand and understand the social life of the Sogdians after entering China during the Northern Dynasties,Sui and Tang dynasties,as well as the historical trajectory of their exchange with the aesthetic culture of the Central Plains. |
