Ceremonial Space In Universities Campus

China is known as the "ceremonial city " since ancient times. the Confucian concept of ritual system in China for several thousand years of history, has influenced in all aspects of life. For example, many ceremonial spaces show up in Chinese traditional architectures and important ceremonial ritual places. Chinese Ancient school has very strict requirements for its place on the guidance of the Confucianism. It shows a profound traditional culture and strong spirit of Confucian ethics. For a rapid economic development time, it's particularly important nowadays. University as a temple of knowledge and personnel training, the ceremonial space is increasingly demanded reflected in it under an age of the idea of the University stressed.In this essay, it studied several universities in the university city of Chenggong in Kunming city. It first analyses chinese traditional ideologies, and then it studies the way the ritual plceunder realized and the content it expressed under the influence of traditional ideas of space. It tried to make a theoretical definition for the ceremonial space in universities, Combined with the teaching purposes of chinese ancient school and the research of spirit and ideas of domestic and foreign universities.By studying the universities as an independent system and analyzing the unique characteristics of it, I work out ritual cultures of the special space and the ceremonial ritual elements it expressed in universities.This part of the first chapter is an introduction, describes the purpose and significance of thesis research on domestic and foreign-related theory and research of the sort, and draw up the framework of this structure; The second chapter is a theoretical construction of the section, by analysis of traditional ceremonial space in the ancient city planning and architecture reflect the total monomer and traditional ritual system architecture and ancient Chinese Academy of ritual space, research on this campus to play a ceremonial space theory; The third chapter in the previous chapter On the basis of theory to Chenggong University City as the research object, the specific analysis of campus planning in the ceremonial space of the embodiment of the developed campus ceremonial space construction of two main ways:to create and build ceremonial ritual center axis; The fourth chapters is the detailed analysis of school buildings in the ceremonial space, respectively, from the school building level, building style and architecture to study other landscape elements; The fifth chapter is the conclusion of the ceremony on campus to discuss the existence of space and the need for construction methods, principles and existing style of the shape and looking forward to the New Campus shaped ceremonial space.
