A Dream of Red Mansions is the best classical novel in China.The author presents a poetic space environment through a large number of symbolic buildings.The main buildings in A Dream of Red Mansions are Ningrong second mansion and Grand View Garden.As the main space for ladies' activities,Grand View Garden plays an important role in the whole work.This paper is divided into four parts.It makes an integrated analysis of the distribution,plants,utensils and the role of architectural image in the Grand View Garden in terms of text,literature and culture.The first chapter mainly starts from the distribution of architectural images in the Grand View Garden.There are two main characteristics in the distribution of architectural images in the Garden,namely,the layout of the Grand View and the layout of scenic spots.The analysis of architectural layout is helpful to better understand the connotation of image culture and the design characteristics of different buildings in the Grand View Garden.The second chapter focuses on the analysis of plants in the architectural image of the Grand View Garden.This chapter takes Xiaoxiang Accommodation,Qiushuang Building and Daoxiang Village as examples to analyze the overall layout and plant image,and excavate the cultural background of the architectural arrangement.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the image of utensils.It introduces in detail the utensils display in Yihong Yard,Hengwu Garden and Qiushuang Building,and makes an in-depth analysis of their symbolic implication and cultural color.The fourth chapter focuses on the role of architectural imagery,analyses and discusses the complex relationship between architecture and human beings and the lyric function of architectural imagery,focusing on understanding the profound impact of architectural imagery on the whole novel.
