Under the comprehensive influence of the trend of economic integration,the birth of the concept of supply chain and the idea of total quality management,the division of labor in today’s society is more decentralized and refined,and the proportion of purchased and outsourced raw materials in product production is increasing,and the quality management of suppliers has gradually attracted the attention of enterprises.Company I,the research company selected in this paper,is a private medical device research and development enterprise in a period of rapid development.In the early days of the establishment of Company I,supplier management was more from the perspective of procurement and production departments,and it was required to select suppliers with low prices and short delivery times as much as possible.With the change of time,Company I has been established for more than ten years,and its business has continued to expand and its product value has been continuously improved.In the early days of the establishment of the company,the progress-and cost-oriented supplier selection and control methods led to frequent problems in the quality of the company’s raw materials,increased production and processing costs,and reduced user satisfaction,which could not adapt to the current situation of the enterprise and affected the development of the enterprise.Therefore,from the dimension of supplier quality management,it is of great significance to the development of Company I to study the supplier management of Company I and put forward reasonable suggestions.This paper adopts the literature analysis method,summarizes and reviews the relevant literature of supplier quality management at home and abroad,and adopts the supplier quality management model based on the idea of source flow assurance to study and improve the supplier quality management problems of Company I.In the followup research process,firstly,according to the actual situation of Company I and the relevant data of supplier quality management in the past,the current situation and existing problems of supplier management of Company I are introduced from the four dimensions proposed by the supplier quality management model based on the idea of source flow assurance(supplier selection and adoption stage,new product design and mass production stage,when defects occur,and supplier growth stage).Secondly,the interview method was used to conduct in-depth interviews with internal and external personnel related to the supplier quality management of Company I,and the coding and analysis of the interview results using the rooted theory was used to obtain the following causes: imperfect supplier evaluation system,incomplete control of raw materials for newly researched products,untraceable source of raw material quality problems,and lack of supplier growth and training system.Then,based on the supplier quality management model based on the idea of source flow assurance,the improvement plan for the supplier quality management of Company I is proposed from four aspects:optimizing the supplier access evaluation system,optimizing the control method of raw materials for newly researched products,optimizing the traceability method of supplier quality problems,and strengthening the help and support for suppliers.Finally,the implementation guarantee suggestions are put forward from four aspects:organizational guarantee,quality awareness construction guarantee,human resource guarantee and process guarantee.Starting from the supplier quality management work practice of Company I,this paper refers to the supplier quality management work practice of domestic enterprises,combines the idea of quality source assurance,and studies the improvement measures of supplier quality management of Company I,which has certain reference value for the application of supplier quality management in small and medium-sized private enterprises of medical devices.
