Study On The Design Of Street Space Renewal In Informal Space Domain

In today’s fast-paced urbanization process in China,urban construction mostly involves large-scale demolitions and redevelopments,transforming comfortable and small-scale old neighborhoods into "new" urban spaces with wide streets and skyscrapers.However,these "new" spatial areas are not as humane,diversified and vibrant as expected,on the contrary,the informal spatial areas at the "edge" of the city,which seem to be old,dirty,crowded and uncontrolled,are a vibrant scene.On the contrary,the informal space at the "edge" of the city,which seems to be old,dirty,crowded and uncontrolled,is a vibrant scene.This paper takes the street space in the urban informal space area as the research object,and focuses on the daily life of the residents and their spontaneous space creation,and establishes a design strategy for the renewal of the street space in the informal space area from four aspects: renewal goals,design principles,renewal methods and design elements.This paper aims to improve the current situation of street space while maintaining its vitality and living atmosphere.In terms of structure,this paper is divided into four parts and five chapters.The first part presents the problem(Chapter 1).The first part presents the problem(Chapter 1).It describes the background of this paper,discusses the purpose and significance of this paper,and forms the research lineage of this paper by defining the relevant concepts and combining the methods of the research.The second part analyzes the problem(Chapters 2 to 3).The current status of domestic and international research on "urban informality" and "street regeneration" is explained,and the relevant cases are analyzed;the suitability of informality theory and street space,the construction of the theoretical framework of street space informality,and the design needs of street space regeneration in the field of informal space are discussed.The third part of the paper analyzes the needs of street space renewal design in the informal space field,and lays the foundation for the proposed strategies.The third part is to solve the problem(Chapter 4).The objectives,design principles,regeneration methods and design elements of street space regeneration are proposed,and the design strategies of street space regeneration in the informal space field are summarized from macro objectives to micro elements one by one.Part IV Practical Application(Chapter 5).Through the analysis and research of the theories and design strategies in the above chapters,the design practice of street space renewal in Baimaji neighborhood is combined with the actual practice.
