Research On The Motivation,Path,and Effects Of HUANENG POWER INTERNATIONAL’s Green Transformation In The Power Enterprise Industry

With the rapid change of the world political situation and the increasingly severe environmental problems,China’s energy security situation and ecological environment problems have also attracted more and more people’s attention.Electric power industry as the basic industry in our country,in the operation of the national economy has a pivotal position,however,our country coal lack of oil and gas resources endowment led to our country electric power enterprises have to use coal for energy production,on the one hand make our country electric power enterprise resource constraints,lack of economic benefits,on the other hand,the resulting large number of coal emissions make our ecological environment under great pressure.Therefore,to promote the green transformation and development of power enterprises is a necessary measure to reconstruct our country’s energy security pattern,the only way for power enterprises to achieve sustainable development,and the only way to implement General Secretary Xi’s important instructions on "clear water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains".Previous research on green transformation related focus on empirical research,the micro level of case study is less,especially focusing on the electric power enterprise research may be less,in view of the research distribution,the green transformation for the layout of the energy strategy and the sustainable development of electric power enterprise has great significance,this paper on the basis of research at home and abroad,try to build the power enterprise green transformation theory analysis framework,and through the literature research method,event research method,according to the question and seek solutions,the green transformation of huaneng international practice case study.In terms of research content,this paper first sorts out the background of green transformation of power enterprises and explores the motivation of green transformation of Huaneng International.Then,by combing and analyzing the practice of green transformation of Huaneng International in recent years,this paper summarizes the path of green transformation of Huaneng International.Finally,this paper uses certain performance evaluation methods to evaluate the effect of green transformation.This paper found that:(1)the main drivers of huaneng international to implement green transformation are development drivers,economic drivers and policy drivers.(2)Huaneng International mainly relies on the strategic path,capital path,information path and technology path to implement the green transformation.(3)The effect of Huaneng International’s implementation of green transformation is mainly reflected in the maintenance of certain financial performance and the improvement of market and environmental performance.Specifically,under the guidance of green company concept,Huaneng has significantly improved the capital market performance of enterprises through the organic combination of green finance and green disclosure;green technology innovation can guarantee the environmental performance of enterprises.On the one hand,the green energy unit has small resource efficiency and profit "firewall" and EVA indicator "moat" for the enterprise,while the upgrading iteration of green energy significantly reduces the pollutant emission and carbon emission of enterprises.
