Construction And Application Of The Color System Of Traditional Residential Buildings In Puxian

Traditional folk houses are an important part of China’s traditional architectural system,and their colors reflect the unique spiritual style of local traditional folk houses.However,with the rapid economic development,the colors of many traditional folk houses have been seriously damaged,gradually losing the original charm of regional colors.Therefore,the research and protection of the colors of traditional folk houses have become extremely urgent.This article takes the traditional folk houses in Putian City,Fujian Province as the research object,and constructs its traditional folk house color system through the collection and analysis of traditional folk house colors and the analysis of color preferences of Putian traditional folk houses.The color atlas is studied in the design of urban and rural buildings.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The formation of the color of traditional folk houses in Putian is influenced by natural environment and cultural background,and the regional characteristics are obvious.The traditional folk house colors in the Putian area are divided into three typical color regions: the western mountainous area,the central plain,and the eastern coastal area.(2)Traditional folk houses in Putian show different color characteristics in different regional environments.In the mountainous areas,the walls of traditional folk houses are mainly in earthy yellow and white series,while the roofs are usually in dark gray series;in the plain areas,the walls of traditional folk houses are mainly in brick red and white series,and the roofs are often in orange-red series;in the coastal areas,the wall colors of traditional folk houses are often in light warm gray,rice white,and rice yellow gray series,while the roofs are mostly in orange-red series.(3)The color system of the western mountainous area,the central plain,and the eastern coastal area of Putian is constructed,and each color system includes an overall color atlas,material color atlas,and commonly used color atlas.(4)Analyzing the problems such as the gradual disappearance of the original ecological color style in the old city of Chengxiang District of Putian City,the lack of effective color guidance in commercial buildings,and the single use of building colors,a recommended color spectrum for urban building colors in Chengxiang District of Putian City is constructed.This study can provide reference for the protection and inheritance of Chinese traditional architectural culture and the color of traditional folk houses in Putian,and also actively promote the inheritance and innovative development of regional culture in Putian.
