The "14th Five Year Plan" for the Development of the Construction Industry clearly proposes the development goal of fully realizing construction industrialization by 2035,and BIM technology plays a critical role as the key to achieving this development goal.However,when compared to developed countries,China still has a significant gap in the application of information technology.One of the reasons is the lack of a benefits evaluation model to measure the benefits of engineering projects in cost,quality,safety,progress and enterprise strategy development after the application of BIM technology.Construction phase as the implementation of the longest period of time and the greatest amount of capital investment throughout the project’s life cycle,and most capable of reflecting the application benefits of BIM technology.Therefore,this paper focuses on the construction phase of the engineering project,evaluates and analyzes the application benefits of BIM technology,to make clear the benefits and drawbacks of BIM technology application,and accelerates the development goals of our country’s construction industry.This paper chooses the benefits evaluation during the construction phase as the research object after studying the application benefits of BIM technology both domestically and internationally.Firstly,introduce the relevant theories of BIM technology and benefits evaluation,clarify the concept of BIM technology benefits evaluation,and lay a theoretical foundation for the construction of subsequent benefits evaluation index systems and evaluation models.Secondly,according to the concept of BIM benefits evaluation,the first step is to preliminarily extract the application benefits indicators of BIM technology in the construction stage of the project through the analysis of literature,cases,and the Shanghai BIM development report,use the Delphi method to screen and optimize the indicators,and divide the indicators into five levels: finance,product,organization,management,and strategy,so as to build a complete benefits evaluation indicator system.Then,the Analytic Hierarchy Process,entropy weight method,and coefficient of variation method are used to calculate the weights of each indicator,and a single objective optimization model is constructed based on the principle of minimum deviation to complete the optimal combination weighting of each indicator.Taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of various evaluation models,a grey cloud benefit evaluation model that can simultaneously reflect randomness and fuzziness is constructed to determine the level of project benefits evaluation.Finally,selecting actual BIM cases to test the scientificity and effectiveness of the benefits evaluation model,analyzing the application of BIM technology in the construction stage of the project,and drawing the conclusion that the BIM application benefits level of the project is excellent,indicating that the benefits brought by BIM technology to the project are relatively significant,which is basically consistent with the project goals anticipated to be achieved by applying BIM technology before the project implementation,Based on the final evaluation results,corresponding suggestions are proposed to improve the application efficiency of BIM technology.Through case studies,it is demonstrated that the evaluation model has certain scientific applicability and can provide reference value for the application of BIM technology in similar engineering projects.
