| Foreign aid architectural design refers to relatively developed countries or regions providing financial and technical assistance to less developed countries or regions, and appointing domestic designers to carry out architectural design activities.Different from domestic architectural design, there are often two prominent contradictions in the architectural design of foreign aid projects. One is the dominant contradiction, that is,the objective differences between the natural environment such as the geographical climate of the donor and the recipient,as well as the architectural environment; The other is the hidden contradiction, that is,the conflict between the two architectural cultures of the donor and the recipient.Combined with the development of China’s foreign aid architectural design, this study summarizes three foreign aid architectural design strategies according to the worldwide foreign aid architectural design and construction scheme.According to the response to the objective environment in the subjective design process, the localization design of foreign aid construction can be divided into three strategic models, namely,"passive","active" and "interactive".Choosing a reasonable localization design strategy is the premise of scientific design of foreign aid architecture.Based on the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),a set of evaluation methods for localization design strategies of foreign aid construction projects is established by analyzing 5 types of first-level factors and 13 second-level factors of foreign aid construction projects.Through several case studies, this method can select the best local design mode for foreign aid construction projects, and then provide effective directional guidance for the further architectural design of subsequent foreign aid projects.By applying the evaluation method of localization design strategy, the design strategy analysis of Meles Leadership College in Ethiopia is the interactive mode. This evaluation result has been applied to the following localization design of the overall planning and the main building of the foreign aid project, and has achieved good results. In the early stage of design, through reasonable analysis of localization design strategies, the efficiency and quality of architectural design of foreign aid projects can be improved.More importantly,it can effectively protect the architectural culture and forms with local characteristics of the recipient, achieve the mutual adaptation and integration of the nature, humanity and environment of the donor and the recipient in foreign aid architectural design, and highlight the open pattern of China’s architectural design industry in promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. |
