Traditional villages are the crystallization of the wisdom of the Chinese nation and the precious heritage of agricultural civilization. In recent years, studies on the spatial distribution and influencing factors of traditional villages are mostly carried out at a single scale, such as national, provincial and municipal areas, and lack of multi-scale comparative studies.Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian is an important part of the pan-Pearl River Delta.Meanwhile, the number of traditional villages is rich and the regional characteristics are prominent.Under the background of rural revitalization,it is of great significance to study the spatial distribution and influencing factors of traditional villages. This paper takes 1100 national-level traditional villages in Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian as the research object, studies the spatial distribution and influencing factors of traditional villages in the three provinces through GIS analysis and relevant mathematical statistics tools, analyzes and compares the spatial differentiation of traditional villages in Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian, reveals the geographical factors driving the spatial differentiation, and puts forward corresponding suggestions for protection and development.Firstly, the spatial distribution type, spatial distribution density, spatial distribution balance and spatial distribution pattern of traditional villages in Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian are studied by using the spatial analysis methods such as the nearest neighbor index,Gini coefficient, geographical concentration index and nuclear density. It is found that the traditional villages in Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian belong to the spatial agglomeration distribution, and the spatial distribution density is uneven.Among them, the traditional villages in Jiangxi are "three cores for many times",the traditional villages in Guangdong are "two cores for twice",and the traditional villages in Fujian are "one core for twice".Regional and municipal spatial distribution is not balanced, with significant regional differences, spatial layout also presents different regional characteristics.Secondly,Arc GIS software was used to explore the relationship between the distribution of traditional villages, their natural environment and human geography, and geographic detectors were used to measure the explanatory power of influencing factors in natural and human geography. The results showed that the traditional villages in Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian with regional spatial differentiation were the product of the comprehensive effects of various factors such as nature and human culture. In the early stage of the formation of traditional villages,The physical and geographical conditions are the basic factors. With the continuous development and progress of society, the social and cultural environment has gradually become an important determinant of the protection and retention of traditional villages; Finally, according to the spatial differentiation of traditional villages and the results of factor forces, this paper puts forward corresponding protection and development suggestions for Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian.
