Research On Landscape Design Based On Evidence-Based Design Theory

With the rapid development of Chinese cities,there are many development opportunities in the field of landscape design in China,but at the same time,there are also a series of problems,such as the neglect of research in landscape design,the function of landscape design results does not match the actual demand and so on.Evidence-based design theory is based on the methods and principles of scientific research and empirical research,aiming to support design decisions and program formulation through the data and evidence of empirical research.This theory can be used as a powerful complement to landscape design.Therefore,this study takes evidence-based design as the theoretical basis and adopts literature research method,case analysis method,field survey method and questionnaire method to study the application of evidence-based design theory in landscape design.The research shows that:(1)By studying related theories of landscape design,related theories of evidence-based design and application of evidence-based design in the field of design,comparing the differences between evidence-based design and traditional design,and then analyzing the advantages of evidence-based design and excellent cases at home and abroad,the final conclusion is drawn: Developing landscape design based on evidence-based design theory is an effective way to solve the functional requirements of landscape space.(2)On the basis of theoretical research and case analysis,landscape design method based on evidence-based design theory was constructed with landscape function as the combination point,and the process framework of evidence-based landscape design of "propose landscape design objectives-evidence collection and analysis-design practice-evaluation and feedback" was summarized as well as the seven functional objectives achieved by landscape design:Recreational function goal,ecological function goal,social function goal,aesthetic function goal,popular science education function goal,cultural function goal,healing function goal.(3)Based on the theoretical framework established above,an empirical study was conducted on the landscape design of Blue Lake and Green Lake in Jilin Agricultural University.The empirical study is a complete process of evidence-based landscape design,including the determination of landscape design objectives,site information collection,evidence-based data analysis,landscape design practice,evidence-based results feedback and other six parts.Finally,three strategies were proposed to optimize the waterfront landscape space of Blue Lake and Green Lake by improving the ecological function,improving the scientific and educational function,and strengthening the sightseeing function.Design practice shows the feasibility of evidence-based landscape design with landscape function as the core.The results show that the landscape design based on evidence-based design theory can effectively make up for a series of problems existing in the process of traditional landscape design,and is a supplement to the traditional landscape design method.This study puts forward a theory and method of landscape design based on evidence-based design,which is a strong supplement to the theory of landscape design.At the same time,it also provides a reference for the landscape design of Blue Lake and Green Lake in Jilin Agricultural University and for the waterfront landscape design of colleges and universities.
