Since the reform of family planning, especially with the introduction of the "three child" policy, the number of elderly mothers and high-risk children in rural areas will increase, and the development of new forms of health care is urgent.Maternal and child health institutions specialize in providing medical and health services for women and children. In order to meet the current needs of maternal and child health, the state vigorously supports the construction of grassroots maternal and child health institutions from regulations, laws, and regulations, improves the conditions of grassroots maternal and child health facilities, enhances the ability of grassroots maternal and child health service management, and improves the spatial quality of grassroots maternal and child health buildings. From the perspective of service recipients,by studying the optimization of non diagnosis and treatment spaces with the highest utilization rate, rural maternal and child health institutions can optimize non diagnosis and treatment spaces based on design ethics theory under the guidance of the three child policy, improve service level and treatment efficiency. After long-term development, maternal and child health institutions have separated from comprehensive hospitals and formed a new "patient-centered" business model, setting up maternity and maternity health centers, child health centers, women health centers, and family planning centers according to the service targets.Among them, non diagnosis and treatment space runs through various departments on a span, serving as a bridge and link.Rural maternal and child health institutions’ non diagnosis and treatment public space is selected as the key research object, and a space optimization method based on policy and design ethics is proposed to meet the needs of medical and accompanying personnel, and improve to form a sustainable development space.By analyzing theoretical cases at home and abroad, conducting on-site research and data review on maternal and child health institutions, identifying and categorizing deficiencies in the behavior of service objects and the current situation of non diagnostic and treatment space environment, analyzing design influencing factors, summarizing design goals, formulating design principles, and proposing optimization design strategies for non diagnostic and treatment spaces.Firstly,in terms of scale, develop suitable waiting spaces, accessible facilities, and walkways for pregnant and postpartum women;Secondly,in order to facilitate efficient medical treatment for pregnant and postpartum women, functional zoning is clear, transportation system is clear, and reasonable diversion is achieved; Then, diversity space improves space utilization and privacy;Next, pay attention to spatial safety and protect the health and safety of users;Considering the special characteristics of women and children, create extended space services for family members and women and children; Finally,to meet the dynamic development of maternal and child health institutions under continuous updates. On the basis of the optimization design strategy for non diagnosis and treatment space of rural maternal and child health centers mentioned above, the practical significance of the space optimization research is verified through the design and analysis of the health care project of Liukeng Village Maternal and Child Health Center in Le’an,Jiangxi Province.
