Abstract/Summary:
Railway is the booster of economic take-off.Since 2010,the pace of high-speed railway construction in China has been accelerated,especially in the eastern and central regions,which has made the spatial and temporal distance between cities narrow and the spatial pattern of accessibility has changed.High-speed railway,as a new channel to quickly connect cities,can accelerate the exchange and circulation of tourism elements between cities,and plays an important role in strengthening regional tourism economic relations and reconstructing tourism spatial pattern.Therefore,it is particularly important to pay attention to the coordinated development of high-speed railway construction and tourism economy,which is not only the key direction under the discipline of transportation and tourism,but also an important practice under the background of dual-cycle strategy.This study focuses on the "east and central" region with the highest concentration of economic activities,resources and transportation investment in China.Using real-time railway operation data,social and economic data,etc.,it integrates time-space compression method,accessibility model,gravity model,coupling coordination model,DID model and other analysis methods.This paper analyzes the spatial pattern and spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of railway accessibility and tourism economic connection in the east and central region from 2010 to 2020 under the background of highspeed railway network gradually,and further discusses the spatio-temporal coupling degree of the two,and clarizes the internal mechanism of high-speed railway construction and tourism development.The main research conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)the spacetime compression effect of high-speed railway in the eastern and central regions is obvious,and the space-time map is stretched and squeezed,showing the characteristics of aggregation and separation.The weighted average travel time in the region decreased by 346.53 minutes,and the improvement process of accessibility had the law of marginal decline.There are differences in the improvement degree among cities,and the change rate of accessibility of newly opened cities is greater than that of existing and unopened cities.The spatial pattern of accessibility changes from "core-edge" mode to "expanding and extending along high-speed railway line",with obvious "corridor effect",and finally forms the spatial pattern of "converging plane by line".The isochron of 12 central cities is also expanding along the high-speed railway line.By 2020,the 6h isochron of Nanjing,Zhengzhou and other central cities will cover more than 80%of the cities in the region.(2)The tourism economic relations and the total amount of tourism economic relations are increasing,and The tourism economic development of Shanghai and "Suzhou-WuxiChangzhou" metropolitan area has been in the leading position for a long time;The spatial pattern of tourism economic relations in the region shows the characteristics of "dense in the south and sparse in the north,dense in the east and sparse in the west",and develops in a "point-axis" mode,and the network trend is obvious.The total amount of tourism economic linkage shows a spatial pattern of "multi-level and multi-center",and the high value of the total change rate changes from the central region to the southern marginal region.The first connection direction of the 12 central cities is stable as a whole,with significant spatial proximity bias and central city bias.(3)The coupling coordination degree between accessibility and the total amount of tourism economic links is generally in a state of low coupling imbalance,but the overall trend keeps improving;The cities with high coupling degree are mostly those with better tourism,economy and transportation conditions.The coupling coordination type presents a "polycentric" spatial pattern and spreads outward along the center.Finally,DID regression results verify that highspeed rail can indeed promote the development of tourism economy,and it is proved that there is a correlation between accessibility and tourism economic connection.
