Since the reform and opening up,the rapid development of the city has alleviated the conflict between the material environment and the modernization development of the ancient towns and alleys, but it has also brought a lot of damage to the traditional landscape of the streets. Moreover, due to the protection requirements of the historical and cultural relics in the streets and alleys, the development of many ancient towns and alleys has been greatly hindered, and we have to face the dual pressure of protection and development. The protection of Chinese historical and cultural blocks is no longer limited to the maintenance of the material noumenon, but begins to attach importance to the further improvement and development of the functions of the public space in the streets and alleys,in order to meet the needs of today’s consumers, making the Chinese historical and cultural blocks glow with vitality again. For this reason,China is in the transition period of urban renewal.Professional researchers have made reflections on the past protective innovation practices, and clearly put forward a micro, progressive modern innovation model "urban acupuncture and moxibustion" theory that takes into account both protection and development, with a view to reshaping the vitality of the historical and cultural block space through subtle renewal and transformation, and having a greater impact,so as to promote the development and protection of historical and cultural blocks. This has brought unprecedented opportunities to the streets and alleys of the ancient city and made them rejuvenate again. This article attempts to use "urban acupuncture and moxibustion" to enhance the vitality of ancient towns and lanes,so as to put forward new ideas. Therefore, the article constructs a scientific research framework based on the order of "finding problems-proposing countermeasures-case practice".First of all,the article will combine collation and case analysis to better understand the recent developments of relevant domestic research and practice, and pay attention to its deficiencies in specific design methods, hoping to make major breakthroughs at the micro level.Secondly, through the analysis of the problems existing in the innovation process of ancient town streets and alleys,I hope to better understand the innovation process of ancient town streets and alleys,so as to improve them more effectively.Through in-depth research, the renewal concept of "urban acupuncture and moxibustion" was introduced into the vitality promotion of the historic and cultural blocks of the ancient city, and the exploration was carried out from two aspects of meeting needs and combining ways. For this reason, the renewal design system of "urban acupuncture and moxibustion" mode was established, and the four renewal processes of basic investigation, structural design, acupuncture and moxibustion point selection, and acupuncture and moxibustion point design were analyzed in detail.Taking plots 12,14,and 17 of the ancient city of Yiyang during the Ming and Qing dynasties as the research object,we hope to better realize the goal of improving the vitality of the historical and cultural blocks of the ancient city.Through the practical application of the theory of "urban acupuncture and moxibustion",from the perspective of vitality building, this paper conducted in-depth research and analysis on its preservation and use,and applied it to practice, not only improving its universal applicability but also highlighting its own uniqueness. The "urban acupuncture and moxibustion" method proposed in the article is not a static research and practice process, but is adjusted and improved according to the actual situation,so as to constantly improve and develop in the practice process.Figure[63] table[21] reference[64]...
