| In the process of urban renewal from incremental development to stock development, the phenomenon of "one thousand cities in one place" caused by homogenized urban transformation gradually disappears the regional characteristics of different places, and the emotional connection between people and places gradually declines.Historical and cultural districts are carriers to witness the development of local history and people’s living memory. In recent years, the research focus has gradually shifted to individual emotional needs. The theory of place attachment is an effective way to study the emotional connection between people and places. At present, relevant scholars have studied the renewal of historical blocks from the perspective of place attachment, but most of them are based on the perspective of tourism or human geography, and only a small number of studies have been conducted in the field of urban planning, which makes it difficult to implement in the level of space construction. Moreover, there are few researches on the characteristics of place attachment environment of historical blocks from the perspective of users’ perception at mesolevel and micro level. At the same time, the progress of technology also provides reliable support for the study of human-earth emotional connection. This study attempts to fill this gap by using qualitative and quantitative methods,so as to provide suggestions for the humanistic renovation of historic blocks. From the perspective of place attachment theory, based on the relevant research results of historical district theory, place attachment theory and spatial environment perception theory, this study collected the intensity of respondents’ place attachment perception by questionnaire survey and map labeling, and used qualitative and quantitative methods to study the correlation and influence degree between spatial environment characteristics and place attachment perception. The semantic text is used to supplement the meaning of the respondents’ attachment. The study tries to study the space environment characteristics of place attachment perception through a comprehensive method and puts forward optimization suggestions for the humanized design of historic blocks from the perspective of place attachment. The first part of this paper combs and summarizes relevant studies on place attachment theory and space environment perception, understands the mechanism of place attachment emotion and space environment characteristics, studies from two aspects of space form and attachment perception, and summarizes the spatial environment characteristic elements of historical blocks covered by existing studies. The second part of the research is based on the existing research theory and proposes and establishes the visual expression research system of "place attachment perception-spatial environment characteristics" and the quantitative research method system of spatial environment characteristics. The third part is the empirical research on the correlation between place attachment perception and spatial environment characteristics of historical blocks, which is the core part of this paper.Through the correlation analysis of the place attachment perception and spatial environment characteristics obtained from the investigation and analysis, the paper summarizes the meso-spatial environment characteristics that affect the intensity of attachment perception, namely, the meso-level positive correlation degree of integration, building density, number of building floors, functional mixing degree and negative correlation of floor area ratio. At the micro level, sidewalk width, street width-height ratio, green coverage rate and landscape node distribution also showed a certain correlation. Finally, based on the research results, optimization suggestions were put forward for the humanistic design of historic blocks. |
