With the deepening of reform and opening up,China’s economic development model is shifting from factor-and investment-driven to innovation-driven,and inter-city innovation cooperation has become an important engine for regional economic growth and innovation development,playing an important role in the new development pattern of mutual promotion in a double cycle.The inter-city interaction relationship is an important concern for urban and rural planning research.With the development and progress of social economy,the reform of political system and the innovation of information circulation technology,the urban hierarchy formed by the hierarchical management system and local market in the past is gradually developing towards a networked urban spatial organisation,and the spatial organisation form of transformation from local space to mobile space has an impact on the regional spatial structure The rise of urban networks has provided a new perspective for the study of inter-city interactions.The twin-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region is a strategic support for the development of the western region and the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and is one of the key national city clusters in China.It is worth considering how to co-ordinate and lay out the collaborative development of regional innovation so that it can play a key role in the new development pattern of China.The benign development and evolution of innovation networks is an important issue in studying the innovation capacity of urban agglomerations.This study constructs knowledge innovation cooperation networks and technology innovation cooperation networks based on co-authored paper data and joint patent application data,and uses social network analysis methods to study the topological structure characteristics,node city centrality and network spatial structure of the innovation network in the twin-city economic circle of Chengdu-Chongqing region,using the network analysis integration software The spatial pattern of innovation network evolution is interpreted by using the integrated network analysis software Ucinet and the spatial analysis software GIS;the social network QAP analysis is combined with the econometric negative binomial model to set up a model for estimating the independent terms of geographic proximity,cognitive proximity and other multi-dimensional proximity and the interaction terms of geographic proximity and other proximity.Through this paper,the following conclusions are obtained:1.The innovation network structure of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle shows that the overall network density gradually increases,the level of innovation linkage gradually increases,the knowledge innovation network is in the process of continuous deepening,and the technology innovation network is in the state of scale expansion,but the network attribute measures are low,the network has the small-world characteristics of short path and high aggregation,and the innovation network deepens from simple cooperation to complex synergy;in terms of network centrality,Chengdu,Chongqing In terms of network centrality,Chengdu and Chongqing are the cities with the strongest control in the region,and cities such as Luzhou,Nanchong and Mianyang have the development potential of innovation sub-centres;in terms of local(cohesive sub-cluster)structure,the innovation network sub-structure is more stable and shows strong institutional dependency,and there is agglomeration in the formation of cohesive sub-clusters.2.In terms of the evolution of the spatial structure of the innovation network in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,the topology of the innovation network shows that the knowledge innovation network evolves to a multi-centre and multi-level spatial pattern,and the technological innovation network gradually becomes more complex.The spatial pattern of the innovation network in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle is "dense in the west and sparse in the east,but collapsing in the middle".The innovation diffusion in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle is in a north-south direction,with Chengdu as the innovation core,which acts on cities such as Mianyang and Nanchong with medium innovation level through the multiplier effect of diffusion;Chongqing has the barrier effect of "administrative boundary",and the innovation radiation effect has not been effectively brought into play,and the innovation radiation radius of Chengdu and Chongqing is not connected,so the twin cores of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle The innovation radiation radius of Chengdu and Chongqing is not connected,and the twin core of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle is not sufficiently linked,lacking deep inland connections for westward and eastward expansion,and the innovation connection space in the region is unbalanced.3.Multidimensional proximity can explain the process of forming innovation network links in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,and three dimensions of social,cognitive and geographical proximity can promote innovation cooperation in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.Excessive cognitive proximity and geographical proximity cause "proximity locking" and prevent innovation cooperation in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,while geographical proximity and other proximity have interactive effects on innovation cooperation in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,with geographical proximity and cognitive proximity having a substitution relationship and cognitive proximity compensating for geographical proximity,and geographical proximity and social proximity showing a complementary relationship and positively promotes complementarity of advantages.Based on the above research results,the spatial optimization strategy of innovation network is proposed in terms of network structure and multi-dimensional proximity in response to the current problems of the innovation network space in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
