Research On The Coupling Coordination Of Spatial Division Of Labor And Economic Agglomeration In Cities Of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle

There is a profound logical connection between division of labor and agglomeration,but this logical connection is covered by the similar dilemma they face.In the existing theory,the division of labor theory can not deal with the contradiction between perfect competition and increasing returns,which is also the "Smith’s dilemma" pointed out by Stigler.One of the assumptions of agglomeration theory itself is the increase of returns.Therefore,the problem of circular argumentation may exist to some extent when trying to explain agglomeration theory by division of labor theory.If the spatial relationship is introduced on this basis,then the economic agglomeration in space is the organizational form of the division of labor in space,and the obscured logical connection between the division of labor and the agglomeration will appear under the intermediary role of space.Based on the above theoretical development status,this paper will try to explore the relationship between division of labor and agglomeration.In terms of research methods,this paper mainly uses the research paradigm of emerging classical economics to discuss the theoretical mechanism of economic agglomeration from the perspective of spatial division of labor,and finally proposes a framework suitable for regional economic analysis.In the part of literature review,this paper mainly focuses on the research of spatial division of labor and economic agglomeration,the influence mechanism of spatial division on economic agglomeration and the related research of Chengdu-Chongqing twin cities economic circle.In the theoretical research part,this paper uses the method of ultra-marginal analysis to discuss the theoretical mechanism of spatial division of labor affecting economic agglomeration under the two-city division model,which is an innovation of this paper.The conclusion shows that the deepening of spatial division of labor can promote the improvement of economic agglomeration in the two-city division model.On this basis,by synthesizing the existing research results,this paper concludes a theoretical framework of cyclic accumulation deepening: "Deepening of spatial division of labor--regional economic agglomeration--deepening of spatial division of labor..." Simply write SDEA framework.Finally,according to the framework,the coupling degree and coordination degree of spatial division system and economic agglomeration system are analyzed.The results show that the higher the transaction efficiency of a city and the more effective the market mechanism,the higher the coupling degree between the spatial division of labor and the economic agglomeration system,and vice versa.If the factors of urban administrative separation can be eliminated,and the constraints of factor flow can be eliminated,then the city will be more likely to realize the coordinated development of spatial division of labor system and economic agglomeration system,so as to realize the high-quality development of regional economy.In the part of empirical research,this paper establishes the evaluation index system of spatial division of labor and economic agglomeration.The spatial division is divided into spatial industrial division and spatial functional division for measurement,and the economic agglomeration is divided into scale effect and density effect for measurement.Then,according to the bidirectional mechanism of spatial division of labor and economic agglomeration,this paper selects the coupling coordination model based on entropy weight method to analyze 16 cities in Chengdu-Chongqing twin cities economic circle,which is another innovation in this paper.The analysis results show that the clustering characteristics of urban coupling and coordinated development in the economic circle are obvious;From 2010 to 2019,the coupling degree of Chengdu-Chongqing dual-core has maintained a high level,and the coordination degree has gradually increased,entering the category of barely coordination;The coupling degree of the remaining 13 cities except Ya ’an showed a trend of gradual rise and convergence,and were generally in the stage of primary coupling to high-quality coupling,while the coordination degree had an obvious upward trend and was generally in the moderate imbalance stage.The coupling degree of Ya ’an city has increased significantly,and it is on the verge of decoupling stage,while the coordination degree has increased from serious disorder to moderate disorder.Finally,according to the spatial division of labor and the level of economic agglomeration of each city in Chengdu-Chongqing twin cities economic circle,16 cities are divided into four categories: "Dual-core","two-wing","central axis" and "underdeveloped",based on the measurement results of related indicators in Chapter 4,combined with the calculation results of SDEA research framework and urban coupling coordination degree,the development suggestions for promoting the coordinated development of urban spatial division of labor and economic agglomeration are put forward.
