Study On The Evaluation Of Rural Human Settlements In The Suburbs Of Mianyang City

With the rapid development of China’s economy and the accelerating process of urbanization,the gap between urban and rural areas is becoming increasingly larger.Under the policy background of urban-rural integration and new-type urbanization construction,how to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas and achieve integrated development has become one of the urgent problems to be solved.To narrow the urban-rural gap,it is essential to pay attention to the improvement of farmers’ living conditions,especially for suburban villages with higher residential environment requirements,it is necessary to increase investment to improve the quality of the living environment.Due to its unique location advantage,suburban villages,as the edge areas of cities,will receive a lot of spillover from the core functional areas of cities,which leads to suburban villages becoming the main areas for the expansion of urban construction land and the spillover of urban functions.As a result,this brings a series of problems to suburban villages,particularly prominent in the rural living environment.Therefore,it is particularly important to explore scientifically feasible optimization measures for the problems existing in the construction of living environment in suburban villages.This article takes the suburban area of Mianyang City as the research area and selects 10 agricultural administrative villages in the suburbs of Mianyang City as the research objects.Firstly,the development process of the living environment theory is systematically sorted out,summarizing the research achievements and practical experience of rural living environment at home and abroad.Then,based on the data obtained from the investigation and visits,combined with the actual situation of the suburban villages in Mianyang City,a suburban village living environment construction quality evaluation system consisting of 24 indicators in 5 aspects,including natural ecological environment,industrial economic environment,living and residential environment,infrastructure construction environment,and social and cultural environment,is constructed.The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and entropy method are used to determine the weights of the indicators,and the TOPSIS method is used to evaluate the comprehensive development level of the living environment in the suburban villages of Mianyang City.Furthermore,a subsystem analysis of the suburban villages is conducted to further identify the reasons affecting the comprehensive development of the living environment in each village.According to the evaluation results,the comprehensive evaluation scores of the living environment in the 10 selected suburban villages of Mianyang City range from 0.2837 to 0.684.The data results are divided into three levels: villages with relatively poor comprehensive living environment evaluation scores range from 0.2837 to 0.3636,including Dalong Village,Shuimo Village,Zifu Village,and Jinguang Village;villages with average development scores range from 0.4093 to 0.4355,including Jinshan Village,Meijiagou Village,and Xihe Village;and villages with better living environment development scores range from 0.4849 to 0.684,specifically Fenghuangshan Village,Panlong Village,and Yuxian Village.Overall,the comprehensive scores of the living environment in the suburban villages of Mianyang City are relatively low,and the subsystems with higher overall scores are the industrial economic environment and the living and residential environment.However,there is significant internal fluctuation within these systems,and the industrial economic development,living and residential environment,and infrastructure urgently need further optimization and improvement.Finally,based on the qualitative analysis and quantitative evaluation research,focusing on the five aspects of natural ecological environment,industrial economic environment,living and residential environment,infrastructure construction environment,and social and cultural environment,this study proposes strategies for optimizing the living environment,such as improving the ecological environment to create high-quality space;enhancing the industrial economy to promote talent revitalization;optimizing housing design to build a harmonious living environment;integrating cultural industries to enhance the sense of belonging among residents;and improving infrastructure construction to meet the needs of the people.This research provides a case study for the evaluation of the living environment in suburban villages in Mianyang City and the western region.
