| Since the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,the state has released many documents emphasizing the importance of rural development.Researchers have provided various recommendations as the study of rural development has been increasing quickly.The revitalization of rural public space which serves as the core of rural public life is essential to improving the rural area’s deteriorating condition.In addition,the rural public space has also brought up new opportunities and challenges due to the expansion of regional and rural tourism.On the one hand,tourism intervention energizes rural development and gives a direction for rural industrial transformation.On the other hand,tourism development needs to collide with current rural realities,and the current decaying rural public space system is in desperate need of improvement and regeneration.To create a harmonious rural environment where both the inhabitants and the tourists benefit,the renewal of rural public space with tourism intervention needs to thoroughly consider and address the demands of both inhabitants and tourists.This article conducts research through literature research,case study,site survey,and questionnaire survey based on the current situation of rural development dilemma and the development demands of rural public space with tourism intervention.The article examines the characteristics of rural public space at various stages of development,as well as the transformation experience of rural public space under various tourism development outcomes.In this way,the contradictions and needs of inhabitants and tourists are explored,and design principles and strategies suitable for the renewal and development of rural public spaces with tourism intervention are summarized,ultimately assisting in the transformation of rural industries.Through theoretical and case studies,the author concludes that the renewal of rural public space with tourism intervention should follow the principles of wholeness,rurality,experience,participation,and adaptability,highlight the unique advantages of the site,determine the development orientation of the place,integrate new spatial function needs,and improve the quality of rural public space,as well as in-depth excavation of residents’ and tourists’ needs.In particular,we can delve further into the cultural significance of the location and emphasize its original spirit;activate the space from the point to the surface and reasonably organize the main flows and spatial structure;and,in the process,this article advocates investigating the mode of common construction and sharing to encourage the sustainable endogenous construction and development of the countryside.The relevant research findings are attempted to be applied to the design practice of public space renewal in Madao Town and to make corresponding transformations based on the basic conditions of the site,to provide a reference path for the subsequent transformation of similar villages and to reflect the research’s practical application value. |
