The basic components represented by gears are the foundation of China’s equipment manufacturing industry.In recent years,the gear manufacturing industry has made tremendous achievements,but the proportion of high-end products is relatively low.With the increasing requirements of the country for the transformation and development of the manufacturing industry towards high-end manufacturing direction in recent years,while technological development,higher requirements have been put forward for production,manufacturing,and management levels.However,the production mode of gear manufacturing enterprises mostly belongs to discrete manufacturing,with a variety of product types and small batches,resulting in the characteristics of difficult to predict orders,difficult to match production capacity,and complex and variable plans,posing great challenges to production management.This article takes the gear center of Z Company under the typical discrete manufacturing mode as the research object,and attempts to explore a manufacturing enterprise management mode suitable for multiple varieties and small batches through in-depth research,in order to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises in the current trend of personalized and just-in-time requirements.Firstly,by summarizing the current production situation of Company Z,analyzing the shortcomings of the current production management system,and then conducting a targeted in-depth analysis of several aspects that affect product delivery,it was finally decided to focus on the improvement of production planning and control management as the main line,focusing on studying several key factors that affect production planning and control:organizational methods,manufacturing resources,standardization,planning and process control,production informatization,and using IE layout Advanced production management concepts and methods such as manufacturing resource planning(MRPII),constraint theory(TOC),just-in-time(JIT),and manufacturing execution system(MES)have developed plans for optimizing MES production scheduling systems based on the combination of MRP II and TOC,and improving process control based on the combination of JIT and TOC.They have established professional production organization,rationalization of factory layout,standardization of process hours,scientific production planning,and orderly process control The modern production management system based on production system informatization enables effective allocation of human and manufacturing resources,balanced overall output,effective tracking of product manufacturing information,and legal basis for production planning and control.It solves the problems of unreasonable production management models and processes,untimely,inaccurate,unshared information,and non-standard control in Company Z,effectively improving the overall level.At the same time,a series of related management mechanisms have been established to provide institutional and organizational support to ensure that the optimization of the production management system can be implemented.At the end of the paper,a summary and outlook are made,summarizing the characteristics and estimated effects of the production management improvement plan of Company Z,as well as the areas to be improved,in order to provide direction for further research in the future.
