| With the sustainable development of China’s transportation,China’s transportation will enter a new stage of high-quality development. However, with the continuous rapid development of urbanization, the demand for motor vehicle travel continues to increase, and some cities have experienced traffic congestion and environmental pollution, and the pedestrian traffic environment has gradually deteriorated.Pedestrian transportation can reduce the carbon emissions of the city, promote the transformation of urban transportation to green and lowcarbon, and at the same time,it can shorten the distance of contact and communication between different people, and create a harmonious urban atmosphere. It is an important way to improve urban transportation problems. The street width and cultural landscape of the historical city are very suitable for the development of pedestrian traffic, but the road resources are scarce, and it is difficult to meet the demand for a large number of motor vehicles, resulting in the occupation of pedestrian roads. On the other hand, historical urban areas need to protect historical and cultural heritage,so roads are difficult to widen or remodel. It is difficult to improve the pedestrian traffic environment.Under the influence of the background of the times and practical problems, historical urban areas need to create a low-carbon,safe,convenient,continuous,comfortable,and beautiful pedestrian traffic environment. Therefore,it is necessary to study the relevant theories of street walkability, build a good pedestrian traffic environment, and improve the sharing rate of pedestrian traffic.Thereby improving the traffic problem in the historic city. The thesis defines the research content of street walkability and analyzes the connotation of street walkability from two aspects of network structure attribute and facility landscape attribute.Combined with the theory of demand hierarchy,it clarifies the analysis hierarchy of accessibility, safety, comfort, and pleasure.Analyze the urban form and spatial development characteristics of the historical city. The intensive land use makes the road resources in the historical city tight, and the development of pedestrian traffic is easily hindered. From the aspects of road supply and transportation facilities,it is analyzed that the historical city has damaged pavement and shortage of parking facilities, etc. The problem,to a certain extent, affects the walking experience of residents. The basic characteristics of pedestrian traffic, the personal attributes of travelers and the characteristics of pedestrian travel are analyzed.Using the core theory of space syntax, discuss the fit degree of space syntax applied to pedestrian traffic and road network structure analysis in historical urban areas, apply the axis model and line segment model, topo logicalize the pedestrian road network, select the degree of control, integration, choice, and intelligibility, which are used to describe the accessibility of streets.Starting from the connotation of pedestrian traffic space, clarifies its composition content, designs a research plan, obtains the relevant indicators of pedestrian space road facilities and supporting facilities, and describes the safety, comfort, and pleasure of the street.Apply the AHP theory and take accessibility, safety, comfort and pleasure as the criterion layers to build a pedestrian traffic environment evaluation model, determine the weight of each index through the questionnaire scale, and ensure the reliability of the evaluation model output through the consistency test, using hierarchical agglomerative clustering to classify streets, and then design.Taking the ancient city of Suzhou as a case study, analyzes the current situation of the pedestrian traffic system in the ancient city of Suzhou. There are problems such as the occupation of pedestrian traffic space in the ancient city of Suzhou. The method of network structure analysis and the research plan for pedestrian space are used to obtain the evaluation indicators of the pedestrian traffic environment in the ancient city of Suzhou.According to the evaluation results, the pedestrian roads in the ancient city of Suzhou are divided into three categories: scale-biased,function-balanced,and environment-biased,and an optimal design strategy is proposed. |
