The National Character Of Japanese Architecture Stems Is Proposed From A "Dependence Mentality"

Japan’s modern architectural works present a diversified architectural concept and homologous spirit,translated the success of nationality in modern times.Many achievements in the field of Japanese architecture have attracted the attention of Chinese architecture,which is also investigating the expression of national identity in the contemporary generation.Most domestic scholars start from the modern architecture of Japan and hope to explore the expression design methods of Japanese nationality from the mature works,but the understanding of Japanese nationality itself stays at the social and cultural level.In this case,domestic architecture analysis of Japanese nationality is deepest in the"national root by nature",which holds that the nationality of Japanese architecture is the birth of the"root",but the author did not describe the specific content of the"root".Through the research of literature in Japanese literature,Japanese linguistics,Japanese sociology,and other interconnected domains,the author discovered that scholars in many fields are recognized as“甘えの构造”theory,so-called“Japanese Anaclisis”.Based on this,in this paper,the argument that the national character of Japanese architecture stems is proposed from a"dependence mentality"(“甘えの构造”).Through the analysis of Japanese national character using this theory,it is concluded that the praise and admiration of"dependency relationships"in Japanese adult society have created the uniqueness of the Japanese nation,and this uniqueness is Japan’s national character.This pursuit of dependent relationships is also reflected in Japanese architecture,resulting in buildings that show a state of"subordination"to the object of dependence,and the object of subordination changes in different historical periods.Taking time as the axis,this paper conducts research on the case of ancient architecture subordinate to"nature";middle-aged and modern architecture subordinate to"Chinese style";modern architecture subordinate to"Western style";and modern architecture subordinate to"originality".The process of expressing the Japanese national character,rooted in the"dependence mentality",in the architecture of various periods is sorted out and summarized.Ultimately,the topic of the expression of national character in Japanese architecture is systematically and comprehensively elaborated from the root-national character-to the architectural expression,both internally and externally.
