| Energy is the key to promoting the development of science and technology and optimizing the industrial structure,but my country’s energy consumption structure is characterized by high energy consumption and high pollution.Against the backdrop of increasingly serious energy and environmental crises,energy transformation aimed at protecting the environment,promoting industrial structure upgrades,and achieving sustainable development has gradually become the focus and difficulty of national reform.Therefore,from the three aspects of energy saving and emission reduction,alleviating energy shortage and promoting industrial structure upgrading,the relationship between energy transformation and industrial structure upgrades is studied,and corresponding countermeasures are given.This project will take 30 provinces in China(excluding Tibet)as the research object for the period 2011-2020,and conduct empirical research on the upgrading of regional industrial structure from three perspectives: industrial upgrading,industrial rationalization,and efficiency.On this basis,two indices were established by entropy method.This project intends to systematically sort out relevant domestic and foreign research on energy transition and industrial structure upgrading,and clarify its mechanism of action.Secondly,the spatial correlation of industrial structure upgrading is investigated,a spatial SDM model is constructed to analyse the spatial spillover effect of the energy transition on industrial structure upgrading,and heterogeneity in terms of geographical location and economic level is analysed.Finally,the mediating effects of carbon emissions and employment structure are empirically analysed.The research results show that,firstly,the advanced,rationalised and efficient industrial structure all have the phenomenon of clustering with a high share in the east and a low share in the west,and that the energy transition not only has a clear stimulating effect on the advanced and efficient industrial structure,but also has a significant spatial spillover effect,i.e.the energy transition can not only promote the improvement of the advanced(efficient)industrial structure in the region,but also stimulate the advanced(efficient)industrial structure in the surrounding areas.The spatial spillover effect is also important.Energy transformation plays a clear role in promoting the rationalisation of the industrial structure,but its spatial spillover effect is not significant.Through the decomposition of the effect,it can be seen that in the long run and in the short run,the overall effect of energy transformation on the advanced and efficient industrial structure still has a promoting effect.However,in terms of the rationalization of the industrial structure,the direct short-term effect is that the energy transition has promoted the rationalization of the industrial structure,but the direct long-term effect is not obvious.Second,the modernisation of the industrial structure has a significant "time inertia".The lag coefficients for industrial structure modernisation,rationalisation and efficiency are all significant,and the level of industrial structure modernisation(rationalisation or efficiency)in the previous period inhibits the increase in industrial structure modernisation(rationalisation or efficiency)in the current period.Third,empirical analysis shows that in the central and western parts of my country,the energy transition still significantly promotes the upgrading of my country’s industrial structure and produces obvious positive spillovers,but in the east,this spillover is still significant.However,its influence on the regional economic development is not obvious,but it hinders the regional economic development.The stimulatory effect of the energy transition on the rationalisation of the industrial structure is significant only in the eastern region,but not in the central and western regions;in terms of the level of economic development,the energy transition still has a significant stimulatory effect and a positive spatial spillover effect on the advanced and efficient industrial structure in both the economically developed and economically developing regions.In regions with weaker economic development,energy transformation can still promote the rational adjustment of industrial structure and produce obvious positive spillover effects,while in regions with weaker economic development,this spillover effect is not so obvious.Fourth,the results of the robustness tests show that after a series of robustness tests by replacing the spatial weight matrix and changing the energy transformation measure,the effect of energy transformation on the advanced,rationalised and efficient industrial structure is still significant and the model is robust.Fifth,through the empirical analysis of my country’s labor market,it is found that the carbon emissions of my country’s labor market have a certain degree of intermediary effect on the employment structure.Finally,based on the results of the empirical study,the whole paper is summarised and relevant policy suggestions are made for energy reform and industrial structure optimisation.Firstly,this study analyzes the impact of energy transition on industrial structure improvement by constructing a regional Durbin model,which extends the perspective of industrial structure study,and quantifies the impact of energy transition on industrial structure improvement.Second,this study ensures that carbon emissions and employment structure can be used as channels through which energy transition improves the industrial structure,and extends the mechanism of energy transition effect on industrial structure improvement. |
