The Extraction And Design Of Chinese Traditional Marriage Customs Cultural Design Factor Based On Ritual Symbolic System

As an important part of traditional excellent culture,Chinese traditional marriage customs embody people’s blessing and spiritual pursuit of marriages.In a narrow sense,traditional marriage custom culture refers to the custom culture based on traditional wedding ceremonies.However,there are still few academic achievements in the research and design application of traditional marriage customs from the perspective of wedding ceremonies.This thesis introduced the ritual symbolic system into the research field of traditional marriage customs,and proposed the extraction model and process of Chinese traditional marriage customs cultural design factors.Based on the above research,this study completed the extraction of design factors and designed a traditional marriage custom cultural product named "Jia You Xi Shi".This study not only enriches the theoretical methods of extracting traditional marriage customs cultural design factors,but also explores the design performance of traditional marriage custom cultural products,and promotes the inheritance and innovative development of traditional marriage custom culture in the present.Through the research and analysis of traditional marriage custom culture,this paper summarized the cultural elements from three aspects:ritual symbols,ritual methods,and ritual meanings.At the same time,used the theory of ritual symbolic system,this study analyzed the ritual behaviors,ritual situations,ritual meanings,and ritual functions in the traditional marriage customs.Combined the theoretical method of design factor extraction,the extraction model and process of Chinese traditional marriage customs cultural design factors based on the ritual symbolic system were proposed.Then this study conducted user research on the product design of traditional marriage customs,established the persona for this design practice,and clarified user needs.This study also determined the traditional wedding ceremonies which should be extracted in this research through the analysis of typical users’ perception of traditional marriage custom culture.On the basis of the above research,through the design factor extraction model,the design factors in 15 traditional wedding ceremonies were extracted,and the design factor system of traditional marriage custom culture was established.Based on the research results of traditional marriage cultural design application cases and user needs,the design concept of "Jia You Xi Shi"was proposed,design method and strategies were also put forward in combination with the design factor system.Then this study completed the innovative product design and test iterations.The traditional marriage custom cultural product of "Jia You Xi Shi" includes physical products and online application.Specifically,physical products can be directly used in wedding ceremonies as supplies,and the application presents the content of wedding ceremonies in a lightweight and simple interactive form around physical products.These two product carriers jointly express the ritual behaviors in the specific wedding ceremony situation,so that when young people use "Jia You Xi Shi" to prepare their wedding ceremonies,they can intuitively feel the cultural connotation of traditional marriage customs.Meanwhile,their emotional connection with family and society can be further strengthened.
