Because product development is a creative process with uncertainties,the progress management of product development projects has always been a problem for enterprises.After years of development,the project management theory system has become increasingly rich.In the field of R&D and engineering,the theory of concurrent engineering has also been widely concerned and applied.However,many enterprises are restricted by various conditions when developing products,and project management is still carried out in a traditional way.With the increasingly complex product composition,the project schedule management has been greatly challenged.Company B initially developed and produced motor products with a relatively simple structure.After the company grew and expanded,with the expansion of its product line,it began to research and produce battery products.The composition of battery products includes multiple materials,involving multiple technical dimensions such as structure,hardware,and software.Traditional project management methods are difficult to apply.Based on the above background,this article summarizes the current situation and problems of schedule management in battery development projects of Company B,and analyzes in detail the reasons for the problems.According to the theory and method of project schedule management,program management,and concurrent engineering,the improvement measures are formulated specifically,including developing corresponding processes for each technical module;By deconstructing the product project into a program consisting of multiple technical module sub-projects,so as to coordinate the delivery and collaboration between sub-projects;Based on the characteristics of sub projects,establish corresponding project organizational structures to enhance the support role of functional teams for project members;And the use of concurrent engineering and the introduction of information technology tools.At the same time,corresponding guarantee measures should be formulated to ensure that the improved plan can be smoothly implemented and implemented.Through the above application research and practice,the progress management of B Company’s battery development project is expected to have significant improvements.The development history of Company B is representative.Through the research on the progress of battery development project of Company B,it is found that the project set and concurrent engineering theory play a role in improving the progress of the project in complex technology product development projects,which makes this application research have a certain reference value.
