Research On The Design And Application Of Yao Ethnic Clothing Patterns In Cultural And Creative Products In Guangxi

The Yao ethnic group is one of the ancient ethnic minorities in China,and is also the most widely distributed in the southern region of China.There are many types of Yao people,and their costumes are also the most representative of the value of the traditional culture of the Yao minority,with profound research value.There are many patterns of Yao costumes,including flowers and plants,birds and beasts,simple geometric patterns,and combinations.The development and formation of Yao costume patterns is deeply rooted in historical culture and profound ethnic beliefs and traditions.It is an important cultural treasure in China’s ethnic minority culture.Their embroidery process reflects the better rendering of patterns.However,due to the remote geographical location of the Yao people,coupled with the rise of the industrial machine era,and the rapidly changing commodity update iterations pursued by young people,it is faster.This makes it impossible for traditional Yao costumes and patterns to be seen in a timely manner.Therefore,it is necessary to combine this excellent clothing pattern,profound traditional culture,and modern design.It is necessary to develop the integration and development of traditional craftsmanship and modern design,as well as to develop and carry forward the precious ethnic culture of the Chinese nation.This article mainly studies the patterns of Guangxi Yao people’s clothing.Through literature research,field research,comparative analysis,and other methods,it sorts out and classifies their clothing types and patterns.The types and characteristics of clothing patterns of the four major branches of the Pan Yao,Bunu Yao,Chashan Yao,and Pingdi Yao are analyzed and sorted out.Based on these common patterns,Yao costume patterns are designed to extract representative cultural symbols,and applied in innovative forms to modern cultural and creative design.The main purpose of this study is to explore the unique charm and inherent meaning of Yao clothing patterns,while also showing the ethnic culture and beliefs of ethnic minorities in China.The Yao costume culture has a profound connotation and a long history and culture.It represents the crystallization of wisdom and hard work of the Yao people.It has deep research significance of ethnic emotions and artistic and cultural values.The design reflects the significance behind the Yao clothing patterns,allowing more people to understand the cultural connotation contained in the Yao clothing patterns,and also has certain significance for the development and inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities.
