Research On The Design Of Aging Adaptability For Mobile Applications

At present,China has entered a severely aging society,but the elderly are not very familiar with the use of mobile applications and find it difficult to use them easily.In order to enable the elderly to enjoy the technological achievements of the digital age,it has become a requirement of the times to design mobile applications that are suitable for aging.At present,under the guidance of a series of national policies,some mobile applications have undergone aging adaptation renovations,but the content of aging adaptation design renovations for most mobile applications is relatively single and formalized.At the theoretical research level,the research content is also quite similar,not in-depth and systematic enough.This study focuses on in-depth research on the aging design of mobile applications.Firstly,a thorough analysis was conducted on the reasons for the emergence of mobile application aging design,and the basic concepts,development status,and current practical problems of mobile application aging design were discussed.Secondly,the cognitive aging characteristics of the elderly,as well as the emotional characteristics of loneliness,depression,and susceptibility to insecurity,were analyzed.Based on this,the safety principles,easy to learn principles,emotional principles,and timely assistance principles that need to be followed in the aging design of mobile applications were summarized.Once again,based on the summarized principles of adaptive aging design and from the perspective of the elderly,a method for mobile application adaptive aging design is proposed: due to the degenerative changes in cognition that occur after aging,memory,attention,and thinking abilities decline,making it difficult to understand and remember complex content.In the design of information architecture,it is necessary to simplify functions and content,and select narrow and shallow information architecture mode to facilitate the elderly to understand and remember information and content.Due to the decline in sensory and perceptual abilities of elderly people,there is often a decrease in visual,auditory,and tactile abilities.In interaction design,it is necessary to simplify the interaction process and interaction mode,and expand the interaction hot zone to simplify the operation and facilitate the learning and use of the elderly.In terms of visual design,it is proposed to partition the page layout,use warm colors and high contrast colors,select real character images in Banner’s design,use non serif fonts and increase font size and maintain spacing,use simulated icons and increase the contrast of colors between images,in order to help elderly people see the information content of the interface clearly,achieve the role of transmitting interface information and displaying interface aesthetics.
