The concept of resilience emphasizes that urban development should adapt to the uncertainty of multiple disturbances, guide the sustainable development of the city, and finally achieve the goal of high-quality urban development.Resilience construction is an important link in urban planning, which guarantees the demand of urban space production, life, ecology and safety. As an important supplement to the resilience theory, urban spatial resilience has become an important obstacle to the high-quality development of cities in the face of various uncertain disturbances. How to build urban space with strong resistance, high recovery and low exposure will become a key issue in the research field of geography and related planning in a certain period in the future. Therefore,on the basis of summarizing the related research on resilience, this paper puts forward the conceptual framework of urban spatial resilience, which is based on three dimensions of spatial exposure, spatial resilience and spatial resilience, covering 23 specific indicators, and constructs a comprehensive measurement system of urban spatial resilience.Selecting 34 prefecture-level cities in three northeastern provinces, using Arc GIS spatial analysis tools and vector autoregressive model, this paper studies the dynamic evolution characteristics of urban spatial resilience in three northeastern provinces from 2001 to 2020,and analyzes its response mechanism.According to the situation of urban spatial resilience in three northeastern provinces,it puts forward specific solutions and corresponding differential promotion strategies for different resilience areas. The conclusions are as follows:On the whole, from 2001 to 2020,the urban spatial resilience of the three northeastern provinces declined slightly, and there were some differences among different regions.Among them, the spatial resilience played a dominant role in the urban spatial resilience in the past 20 years. In terms of time evolution, the difference of urban spatial resilience among the three northeastern provinces gradually decreased, and gradually changed from high-rise distribution to flat distribution, and there was no significant fluctuation from 2001 to2020.In the past 20 years, the average values of spatial exposure and spatial recovery showed a downward trend, decreasing by 3.2% and 5.5% respectively; The average spatial resilience is on the rise, with an increase of 6.2%.Among them, the spatial resilience fluctuates greatly, which is a short-board factor to enhance the urban spatial resilience. From the perspective of spatial pattern, the urban spatial resilience of the three northeastern provinces is mainly distributed in medium resilience areas, showing a spatial distribution pattern of high in the south and low in the north, and the same resilience areas have obvious agglomeration. On the whole, the urban spatial resilience of Liaoning province is > that of Jilin province > that of Heilongjiang province. From the trend analysis, the spatial resilience of cities in the three northeastern provinces is mainly divergent, and the gap is gradually narrowing. In terms of spatial agglomeration, there was an agglomeration law among cities in the three northeastern provinces in 2001 and 2010,and 2020 cities were randomly distributed. The results of cold hot spots showed that the trend of hot spots from the south to the northwest of the three northeastern provinces showed a downward trend, while the trend of cold hot spots in the central and eastern parts was not significant. From the subsystem analysis,(1)the spatial exposure is mainly distributed in the middle exposure area, and the high toughness area is mainly concentrated in Heilongjiang Province.(2)The spatial resilience is mainly in the middle and high resilience areas. In terms of sub-regions,the development level of urban spatial economy is of great significance to a city’s development. The future development of urban organizations depends on the support of the economy. The stronger the economy, the stronger the city’s ability to resist external interference.(3)The spatial recoverability is mainly in low and medium recovery areas, and the spatial recoverability of Liaoning Province is higher than that of the other two provinces.Among them, the level of regional innovation plays an important role in urban development. As an important guarantee of urban sustainable development, urban ecological space is also the key to high recovery. From the perspective of response mechanism analysis, the economic drive has the strongest response to the urban spatial resilience of the three northeastern provinces, and the ecological security and social coordination have time lag to the urban spatial resilience of the three northeastern provinces, but they have a positive impact on the urban spatial resilience, which is conducive to the improvement of urban spatial resilience.Based on the analysis of the results and response mechanism of urban spatial resilience in the three northeastern provinces, aiming at the overall improvement path of urban spatial resilience in the three northeastern provinces,we should face up to the crisis disturbance faced by urban development, actively make crisis plans, reduce possible crises, and combine the provincial conditions of the three northeastern provinces, rationally plan the spatial layout, prevent the disorderly expansion of construction land, and reduce the risk of spatial exposure and disturbance.According to different types of toughness,low-toughness areas should slow down the exposure crisis and focus on enhancing the vitality of cities; In the middle resilience area, the construction of space recovery should be strengthened, and at the same time, the improvement of space exposure should be restrained.High-toughness areas should focus on consolidating spatial resilience and improving spatial resilience.
