The Impact Of Intellectual Property Protection On The Development Of Green Innovation In Enterprises

Green innovation and development has become an important engine for my country’s high-quality economic development.However,in recent years,my country’s intellectual property infringement has become very serious,making enterprises reluctant to carry out R&D innovation activities.Therefore,strengthening intellectual property protection has become an important measure to ensure my country’s green innovation development.This paper takes the 2014 pilot policy of intellectual property courts in Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou as a quasi-natural experiment,selects the A-share listed companies in the CSMAR database from 2011 to 2019 and the enterprises whose data is matched by the State Intellectual Property Office as a sample,and selects enterprises to measure the amount of green invention patent applications.The level of enterprise green technology innovation,through the establishment of the difference-in-differences model(DID)and the mediation effect model,the impact of intellectual property protection on the green innovation development of enterprises was investigated,and on this basis,the mechanism of intellectual property protection affecting the green innovation development of enterprises was clarified.The research conclusions are as follows:1.Intellectual property protection promotes enterprise green technology innovation.The relationship between the two satisfies the parallel trend assumption,and there is no time lag effect,and after PSM-DID test,placebo test,exclusion test,increasing regional economic development level control variables and replacement The results still hold after a series of robustness tests,such as the measurement variables of corporate green technology innovation level.2.The heterogeneity analysis shows that intellectual property protection plays a more obvious role in promoting green technology innovation of large enterprises,state-owned enterprises,technology intensive enterprises and capital intensive enterprises,while it plays a weaker role in promoting small enterprises,non-stateowned enterprises and labor-intensive enterprises.3.The analysis of impact mechanism shows that increasing enterprise R&D and alleviating enterprise financing constraints are two important channels for intellectual property protection to promote enterprise green technology innovation.The research conclusions provide important reference basis and policy enlightenment for effectively promoting China’s intellectual property protection and the development of enterprise green innovation: First,further improve the pilot policy of intellectual property court,give full play to the role of intellectual property protection in promoting the development of enterprise green innovation,and provide a good guarantee for enterprise innovation;Second,adopt a variety of policy means to make comprehensive efforts to stimulate the green innovation vitality of non-stateowned enterprises and small enterprises;Third,form a long-term incentive mechanism to promote the development of green innovation of enterprises,promote industrial upgrading and transformation,cultivate high-quality innovation soil,and effectively promote the development of green innovation and high-quality development of enterprises.
