Expression Method Research On Regional Culture Through Railway Station Square Landscape

In China,railway station construction is still under rapid development.Due to the importance of the creation of city image in recent years,the demand of regional culture as an important material source has been rising.At the same time,as the window of city image,station square landscape faces the problem of similarity.Based on cases of station square landscape,a methodology of statistical analysis and case study combined with basic theories of station square design and regional culture is adopted.Based on the structure and the elements of the design process,expression carriers,types,the relationship between expression carriers and types,expression techniques of regional culture at both structure and elements levels are analyzed.The study shows that:The landscape structure level part contains several landscape expression carriers,namely figure,ground,and figure-ground.Expression types include topography,artifacts,concepts,customs,events,and artworks.Topography and landscape are mainly expressed through Topography and landscape are mainly expressed through "figure",artifacts are mainly expressed through "ground",concepts are mainly expressed through "ground",and customs are mainly expressed through "figure-ground".After further analysis of typical cases,regional culture expression techniques of abstract expression of topography and landscape,symbolic expression of customs,symbolic expression of concepts,and expression of form and color together are summarized.The landscape element level part firstly summarizes expression carriers,namely sculptures,rocks,paving,lamps,structures,water features,landscape columns,greenery,ventilation wells and lighting wells.After further analysis with typical cases expression as well as the relationship between expression carriers and types,expression techniques of metaphorical transformation of concepts,direct transformation of geographical names and zones,imitation transformation of people,imitation transformation of animals,symbolic transformation of events,abstract transformation of architecture,direct transformation of plants,and symbolic transformation of customs are summarized.In terms of theory,this study combines the landscape design process of station square with the process of regional cultural expression,and constructs a research framework of landscape structure and landscape elements,which overcomes the limitation that most of the previous studies only start from landscape elements.In terms of practice,this study summarizes regional culture expression techniques based on the relationship between expression carriers and expression types as well as analysis of typical cases,which provides a reference for improving the quality of station square landscape and reflecting the characteristics of station square.
