In recent years,with a series of new forces entering the auto industry,market competition in the auto industry has become increasingly fierce,and the iterative speed of new models has become increasingly demanding.As an important part of a car,lamps and lanterns have complex structures and involve numerous regulatory certification projects,which often become the key path for the development of new car projects and directly determine the new car development cycle.The traditional development model can no longer meet the faster and faster pace of market updates.How to shorten the research and development cycle and improve the quality of the lamps under the premise of ensuring the quality of the lamps has become an important research topic for major OEMs.This article introduces the process of using APQP(Advanced Product Quality Planning)method to optimize the development process of K company’s automotive lighting products.First,sort out the current status of K company’s current luminaire development process,and compare the contents of the APQP development process at various stages,systematically analyze the status of K company’s luminaire development,and sort out the main constraints.Secondly,use the combined data such as fishbone diagram and Pareto diagram to find the true cause of these constraints.Afterwards,through the auxiliary use of FMEA,MSA,SPC,and PPAP,four optimization measures were specifically proposed: perfect multi-functional team members and responsibilities,establish an effective FMEA knowledge base,improve process development checklists,optimize measurement and statistical processes,and Use optimization measures to correlate the five-stage development process to rebuild a quality management process application model suitable for the development of K company’s lamps.Finally,K company used the model to establish a new luminaire development process and verified it in subsequent projects,basically achieving the goal of shortening the development cycle and identifying quality problems in advance.This article which aims at the optimization of automobile lamp development process and cycle has reference effect and significance for other companies in the industry which has use APQP management tools to optimize the enterprise product development process.
