| Xi’an has a large number of colleges and universities,and problems such as large water consumption and serious water waste are common on campus.In order to solve the problem of human and water contradictions in universities,the government has focused on saving water in colleges and universities,and the construction of water-saving universities is one of the important solutions.However,the existing research is limited to the objective influence of the water-saving effect of colleges and universities by funding,land,equipment,management methods,etc.,and ignores the subjective role of micro-subjective cognition and behavioral psychological factors.In-depth excavation and analysis of water-saving behavior will have important theoretical and practical significance.As the main members of colleges and universities as well as the backbone of the future of society,the improvement of this group’s water-saving behavior not only plays a key role in the implementation of campus water conservation,but also radiates the whole society to pay attention to water conservation.However,there is a lack of relevant research on whether the improvement of water-saving behavior level is affected by the construction of water-saving universities.In this paper,by distributing questionnaires to collect data and performing regression analysis,this paper uses the propensity score matching double difference method to explore the effect of the construction of water-saving universities on the water-saving behavior of college students in Xi’an,and concludes that the policy will improve the water-saving behavior of college students.In order to solve the problem of why the construction of watersaving universities has a positive impact on water-saving behavior,this study verifies the influence mechanism model of the construction of water-saving universities on the watersaving behavior of college students in Xi’an,so as to reveal the intrinsic relationship between the construction of water-saving universities and the water-saving behavior of college students.The results show that: The construction of water-saving colleges and universities has a significant positive impact on the water-saving behavior of college students.College students’ water-saving behavior has a certain degree of difference in age,education level,monthly living expense level,place of origin and other dimensions.It proves that watersaving management,water-saving technology,and characteristic innovation all have a positive impact on college students’ water-saving behavior,and water-saving management has the deepest impact on college students’ water-saving behavior.Therefore,this study believes that universities should strengthen management,increase publicity,improve facilities,give full play to scientific research advantages,and continue to build and improve the water-saving undertakings of universities,especially in water-saving management.The government should pool resources and continue to support the construction of more water-saving universities. |
