Study On The Landscape Design Of Peony Garden In Hunan Province

Paeonia suffruticosa is one of the top ten traditional flowers in China.With a long history and profound cultural heritage,it enjoys the reputation of "national beauty and natural fragrance" and "king of flowers".In the garden landscape,it is favored by the broad masses of the people because of its rich color and diverse flower types.Based on the field investigation and research of four typical peony gardens in Luoyang Wangcheng Park,Heze Caozhou peony garden,Shanghai Botanical Garden peony garden and Wuhan East Lake peony garden,this paper summarizes and considers the landscape design theories and methods of typical cases,and improves the landscape design of Huatiancuo peony garden in Changsha County in combination with the geographical climate and local customs of Hunan Province,Meet the needs of Hunan people for peony landscape and peony culture,and provide new ideas and new schemes for the application and practice of peony in Hunan gardens.On the basis of reading literature,consulting materials and analyzing cases,this paper has achieved the following results:1.Through the field investigation of four typical cases in China,this paper analyzes the selection of peony varieties and other plants,the construction of the overall landscape space,the design of terrain and the layout of garden architectural sketches.Summarize the plant space construction techniques of "want to develop first and restrain first" and "see the big from the small";Carry out variety matching scientifically,and use the difference of flowering period between peony varieties to prolong the overall flowering period of peony garden;Select trees with tall trees and different crowns to beautify the forest edge line and canopy line;Highlight the close-up peony by using the prospective trees;The peony culture is expressed by planting peony with hard garden elements.2.Through the field investigation of Hunan Yueyang flower about four seasons peony garden and Chenzhou xiangsihai peony viewing base,the peony varieties with good growth and development in Hunan are selected.It is found that Hunan peony garden mainly depends on the introduction of foreign or other regions in terms of peony varieties,including 16 peony varieties in the south of the Yangtze River,accounting for 24% of the total,30 peony varieties in the Central Plains,accounting for 46% and 19 foreign peony varieties,accounting for 30%;At the same time,there are also some deficiencies,such as single landscape application form,extensive cultivation and maintenance,imperfect site maintenance,and insufficient peony cultural connotation.3.Based on the theory of landscape diversity,ecological sustainability and cultural inheritance,combined with field research and the growth habits of peonies,this paper analyzes and studies the landscape design of Hunan peony garden,and puts forward the design principles,landscape techniques,the allocation mode between peony varieties,the allocation of peonies with other plants and the collocation with garden architectural sketches of Hunan peony garden.4.Through the field investigation of Yueyang flower about four seasons peony garden and Chenzhou xiangsihai peony viewing base in Hunan,it is found that the peony garden in Hunan mostly depends on the introduction of other regions in the selection of peony varieties;In terms of landscape construction,it is presented in a single form of flower garden and flower field;There are also deficiencies in the later maintenance and management and the presentation of peony culture.5.Based on the successful experience of four famous peony garden cases in China and the shortcomings of Hunan peony garden,combined with the geographical climate of Hunan and the relevant theoretical basis of Hunan peony garden landscape design proposed by the author,this paper improves the landscape design of Huatiancuo peony garden in Changsha County,and puts forward the transformation scheme for the selection of peony varieties,the construction of plant landscape space and the design of terrain and terrain.Highlight the peony characteristic theme and provide reference for the landscape design of Hunan peony garden.
