As one of the main transportation modes in China,railway transportation plays an important role in the economic connection between cities.A perfect railway network helps to smooth the domestic and international economic cycle and build a new pattern of economic development.Central China has important railway hubs such as Zhengzhou and Wuhan and many railway trunk lines.It is connected to the South China Sea in the East and inland in the West.Therefore,it is particularly important to explore the impact of railway passenger transport network on urban economic ties in Central China.This paper takes 48 cities in Central China except Shenlongjia forest area as the research object,and uses the methods of social network analysis,rank scale analysis and accessibility analysis to explore the characteristics of railway passenger transport network from two aspects: railway passenger transport connection and railway passenger transport accessibility;Considering the background of high-quality development,the economic quality index system is constructed,and the improved gravity model is used to calculate the urban economic connection and analyze its characteristics;Finally,QAP analysis and spatial econometric model are used to explore the impact of railway passenger transport network on urban economic ties,and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)there are spatial differences in railway passenger transport network in Central China.First,the difference of railway passenger transport links: the total amount of railway passenger transport links in provincial capital cities is significantly higher than that in other cities;Passenger transport links mostly occur between cities in the province,and there are few inter provincial links;There are differences in railway passenger transport links among the three provinces in Central China.Hunan Province has the closest railway passenger transport links,while cities in Hubei Province are relatively isolated and less connected.The second is the difference of railway passenger transport accessibility:the gap within the group is 0.021,which is significantly greater than the gap between groups of 0.002,indicating that the internal accessibility gap of each province is the main reason for the overall accessibility difference in Central China.The province with the largest internal gap is Henan Province and the smallest is Hubei Province.(2)Most of the economic links in Central China occur between eastern cities,and have formed a strong economic connection network centered on Zhengzhou,Wuhan and Changsha.Similar to railway passenger transport links,economic links mostly occur between cities in the province,and there are few inter provincial exchanges.The radiation objects of economic ties of cities in Central China are mainly neighboring cities,while most of the receiving objects are provincial capital cities,showing the orientation of central cities.(3)From the perspective of city pair(point pair),the railway passenger transport network has a significant positive impact on economic relations,in which the standardization coefficient of railway passenger transport connection matrix is 0.168 and the standardization coefficient of railway inverse time distance matrix is 0.499.From the perspective of cities(points),under the queen adjacency matrix,geographical distance matrix and time distance matrix,the estimated parameters of the total railway passenger transport connection in the explanatory variables are 0.485,0.426 and 0.284 respectively,and the estimated parameters of the average shortest travel time of railway passenger transport are-1.662,-1.914 and-1.858 respectively,which are significant at the level of 0.01,indicating that the improvement of railway passenger transport network can promote urban economic connection.This paper broadens the impact of traditional transportation on economy to the impact on economic ties,explores the impact of railway passenger transport network on urban economic ties under the background of high-quality development,enriches the relevant theoretical research in the field of transportation economy,and the conclusions can provide ideas for the future railway network planning of central China,so as to promote urban economic ties and contribute to the high-quality development of central China in the new era,It has certain theoretical and practical significance. |
